I bought my 360 at Woolworths, they were doing a bundle with Mass Effect 1.

 

I've been gaming since the Atari and Pong days. Got my first 360 in 2008 I think. Best gaming memory is playing games as a kid with my brother for hours on end. Worst memory is when I had to sell my first 360 and when I got my current one some time ago I
couldn't remember my email and password for my original 360 account lol. Can't remember my first 360 game, might have been Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

 

Wow, well you certainly do learn something everyday eh! I would never of knew either!

Advantage, I think I remember NFS: MW being remade not long back. One of the best in the series I heard. I do that lost password thing all the time -_- not for Xbox but for other things. It does suck lol.

 

Woolworths is just a grocery store in Aus.

Moving ahead to last gen, I remember my 1st 360, it didn't last very long tbh. I remember the 1st time I played Oblivion anf Tony Hawk Proving Grounds, good times.

 

Haha, I knew there was some off topic convo going on in here, but very interesting though in regards to the history of Woolworths across the world.

Fun fact, David Jones a department store in Aus was just bought out by a South African company called, you guess it Woolworth, though not the same one as the Australian grocery store. Weird huh!?

My first gaming 'console' was an Atari 2600, I've still got it boxed up with games (hopefully might be worth a few quid one day!). My favourite game was called 'Wizard of Wor'.

Spectrum 128K and various Nintendo's followed, then Playstation1 & 2. The turning point for me wanting an Xbox was playing my friend's console and Project Gotham Racing 1, the trigger buttons just felt so right so I pre-ordered my Xbox 360 and collected
it at midnight launch with Quake, Need for Speed and Kameo.

Kameo was a huge let down for me, I'd read so much and had a huge anticipation but I just couldn't get into it.

Gears of War trilogy is without doubt my highlight of 360, spent countless hours playing this.

My first game I ever played online was Juiced HIN, absolutely loved it until a bug stole my achievements from me and my gamercard still marks these as 'error'. I never did find out why.......

I convinced myself I wouldn't buy and Xbox One until next year but caved in about a month ago!

My next mission is to get my daughter into gaming (she's only 3 so probably a bit young at the moment). Interesting story, I called her 'Anya' based on the character from Gears of War. And yes, if she'd been a boy she would have been Marcus Fenix!

 

I started gaming back in 1982/83 with the Amstrad CPC464 with colour monitor (I started gaming at 4/5 years of age), and have never really stopped, but I really do miss some of those old games, they were just so playable, get lost for hours playing those
games. we need a full Amstrad emulator pack with all roms and an Amiga pack to come out on the Xbox 1.

 

Yeah we kind of walked off topic with that one lol! Still, fascinating to see how it works and learn about other regions ect...

Anyhow, I notice when reading this thread that there are consoles I haven't even heard of let alone played :/ going to have a pretty fun evening on google lol. I bet I have seen the consoles but need a quick image to help job my memory.

We had a CP464 with Green Screen, never owned an Amiga, but played lots and lots of games on Amiga 500, that was a game changer (excuse the pun) in my opinion.

My 1st game system was Atari, and Pong. Then later Intellivision, and the Sega Genesis, which I later added the Mega CD drive to with the 32X setting atop of it all. (Tower of Power) Still got it in fact, complete with unopened CD games for it.

The Xbox 360 I got just 3 years ago. Reason for that was after 2 years of problems with my 8GB Xbox (2002 version) I never trusted the 360 until the Slim version. Best memory was christmas 2002 when I introduced Halo CE via System Link to the family who
all gathered at moms in preparation to open their PS 2's - Yet the day after, some of the ones that never opened their PS2's were taking them back to Target etc to exchange them for Xbox's. Happy day's.. Until having to call xbsupport because of DDE and Sparking
power cords which were never actually fixed. It was their policy that after the 3rd shipment for repairs they replace the console with another... Yet the other had the very same problems. Go figure!

Yet the original Xbox, (Nov 03 - 05 version) hooked system link with Halo CE is still my favorite game and system of all time.

Yes, at one time or another I have owned every system Nintendo, Sega, Atari, PS, and Xbox has made. With the exception of this latest generation. Which I will own after I am confident that all the bugs have been worked out.

Oh, and add to that in which direction game developers will go. If it's "ONLINE ONLY" with no Solo Campaigns (Titanfall/Destiny) then I won't be getting the latest generation of consoles at all.

 

I've been on xbox for over 12 years, there are so many gaming stories from the original PGR and Ghost Recons, Rainbow 6, COD & Battlefield series. But my main story is that I met my wife on Xbox Live, now 6 years later we have one amazing little girl and
another on the way.
