    when i try to buy content like lets say xbox live time via the website i am smacked in the face with this

    Change your settings to allow purchases
    Your settings are blocking purchases of free or paid content. If you still want to buy this, first change your settings to allow purchases. Parents will have to change this setting for children.

    my account is an adult account.... and if its not it will not allow me to upgrade it i know my birthday i know its correct and yes ive tried to upgrade it via my xbox.

    this is extremly annoying to deal with

    Can I Purchase a Game for my 9 year old, or can he purchase rated M?

    The parental setting to allow your son to play M rated content do not allow him to download M rated content. It's the same as when your in a store. You can buy an M rated game for your son, but he can't buy it himself.



    You can purchase the content on your (adult) account, and he should have access to it from his account.

    Sonic Adventure 2 - Status Code 8C230002?!

    It won't let me do it on xbox.com and it said

    "Purchase of this content is currently not allowed for child and teen accounts. If the Parental Settings for your Xbox LIVE account allow you to make purchases, you can purchase this content using your Xbox console."

    Just my luck. Is there any way out of this??

    Change your privacy settings to adult somewhere in the account button under system tab on your console. It's most likely that your account is blocked because you're having a child account.

    but my account is an adult and my settings are set like that already its been that way since i bought the xbox. i cant buy live on my 360 or the webesite

    Also check the family setting there r sumthings in tht efffects ur profile

    i cant sign into the adult account on the xbox one because i dont know where to go and my privacy is on custom but i still cant buy games
