"Your settings do not allow purchases"

For some reason Xbox Live refuses to allow me to purchase 170 Platinum (a special currency in Warframe). When it kept coming up with the message "Your settings do not allow purchases" I checked and it does. I wen't back and it still wouldn't
let me so I checked every possible way to edit it so that my account is unrestricted to buying stuff and it keeps coming up with the same message. It also said that "If changing that setting does not work, it is possible your purchase and download
privileges are suspended." So it told me to either check in with my E-mail account to see if I've got'n any E-mail that my account was barred from quoted privileges. Nothing. The only things related to Xbox I could find were E-mails from GAME telling
me that my orders were being shipped and some stuff from Xbox Live Rewards. But no such E-mail regarding being banned from buying things. So instead I look on the Xbox Enforcer site. Again, no such info regarding this issue was displayed. In fact according
to the site my slate was spotless. So what the hell is going on? There's nothing wrong with my settings or my account privileges so really the only logical explanation here is that Xbox *** this one up. I even tested to see if maybe it was just that one option
so I tried to buy 75 and 370 Platinum which were the only alternatives and take a wild guess at what message came up. "Your settings do not allow purchases" when I checked several times and they totally do!

I'm trying to buy Battlefield 4 Premium Edition while it's on sale, but every time I try I get a message telling me that my settings don't allow me to download free or paid content or something to that effect. My settings say "anything" for restrictions
on buying content, but I've continually gotten this message. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is it a problem with the Xbox services? If so, does anybody have any idea when it'll be fixed? I want to get Battlefield 4 before the sale ends.

 

UPDATE

I found that if I go to custom settings and turn the buy and download content from nothing to anything it apparently fixes this. Thank god this didn't seriously escalate but none the less this was really uncalled for. So with that being said I can safely
shut down this post.

I understand that you want to make purchases on Xbox. This is easy to fix.

Follow these steps:

If you are an adult account, sign in to account.xbox.com

Click on "Online safety on Xbox One".

Make sure that Buy and Download is set to "Anything"

In case that you are using a child account, you must have the adult account do this for you.

Adult accounts will see the connected Child accounts after they have clicked "Online Safety on Xbox One".
