preface: i don't want to ask a question- i want to vent my frustration over how silly your account sign in and setup is for minecraft.

context: i purchased minecraft over a decade ago and played it just fine until one day microsoft broke my account. now i cannot sign in with it, and i am completely unable to play minecraft.

when trying to sign in, i am met with the error that my account has been blocked because of 'too many wrong password attempts'.

so i reset my password. i get an email with a code to reset the password. the new password is accepted and i am prompted to sign in using the new password.

i get the same error that my account is blocked for too many wrong password attempts. the brand new password has been blocked. what the ****?

i try the brand new account option. long story short, after juggling a dozen vertification emails between 2 different addresses which microsoft was adamant i did not own either of, i finally get the new account up and running.

however, this new account isn't allowed to log in using my copy of minecraft.

so, in short, my original account, which is defunct, has a copy of minecraft i paid for, which is now unplayable. thanks, microsoft. this is exactly why people pirate things. you make things inaccessible, and for what? you want me to buy the game again?
