    Cannot Play online : Your current gamer profile settings do not allow playing online games. To continue, all signed-in gamer profiles must be allowed to play online.

    Your account is not allowed to play online

    You may try the free month of gold membership which is for new members however i dont know if it still remains or they already removed it your profile is not allowed to play online :) till you buy gold membership later .

    You need to go to the Privacy TAB, and allow to share your profile, most online games need to be able to see your profile to allow online play. So you will need to set it to EVERYONE.

    Why do I need to have an online profile when I'm offline?

    First you need an online profile to be able to play multiplayer.

    Also some games, the newer ones, only allow online play.

    But most will allow you to create an offline profile.
