    CANNOT CHAT WITH ONE XBOX LIVE PROFILE BUT CAN ON ANOTHER

    Please help!

    I'm having issues with voice chat on my primary profile, but I can play games with others. All of my privacy settings are set to "Everyone" or "Allowed," but I can't communicate with anyone in-game (COD MW, Apex Legends, etc.).
    This applies to other Xbox users and crossplay. When I troubleshooted by creating an Xbox party on the affected profile, I'm met with the message, "Your privacy settings prevent chat with some people." That doesn't make any sense considering my privacy settings
    are all open and I know for a fact I'm not banned (I checked enforcement.xbox.com and my email for any game developer comms).

    The weirder thing is, my secondary profile is NOT having this issue whatsoever. I can game and voice chat freely.

    I've done every single troubleshooting step under the sun:

    • Power Cycling
    • Hard Resets
    • Factory Reset (Keep Games & Apps)
    • Toggled Privacy Settings
    • Checked for Ban status
    • Gaming headset/mic has NO issues
    • Controller firmware updated (headset detected)
    • Open NAT type
    • Strong internet connection

    What else is there to do? I don't believe I can contact Xbox support at this time, given the complications COVID-19 has wrought. Anyone have any ideas?

    Sometimes this message can be enforcement related.

    If you check enforcement.xbox.com or the email address on file with your account, do you see any active suspensions?

    This is my chat with them. it fixed it! try it out-

    Alright thank you. On your Xbox One, Please go to Settings>>All Settings>>Disc & Blu-ray>>Blu-ray>>Persistent Storage>>Clear.

    After that, please press and hold the power button of the Xbox for 5-10 seconds until it completely turns OFF. Then please unplug the power supply.

    After a minute, please turn ON the Xbox console. It should work then.
