Due to poor communication after receiving a 7 day communications ban (first time ban ever) for insulting another user who first attacked me and the inability of the Policy Enforcement Team to follow their own listed attributes on their enforcement page I
have come here to post this. The pet so called values:

    "Our Values
    Integrity
We are accountable for our actions; we must make consistent, unbiased decisions based on the best available evidence.

    Compassion
The policy is our guide. We must do what is right, not always just what is written. Context matters.

    Precision
With authority comes great responsibility; we must be precise in our investigations, documentation, reporting, and application of enforcement policy.

    Team
Each individual is critical to our success. Each is trusted and empowered to do what is right. We learn from mistakes and always try to improve. We care deeply about our customer’s experiences on Xbox Live and are dedicated as a team to make it a safe and
    fun place to be!"

I understand the reasons for my suspension, but the inability for the Policy Enforcement Team to properly act with:

"Integrity" - the player who instigated the exchange and first harassed me remains un-banned and unpunished.

"Compassion" - Neither did you do what was right nor did you look at the context of the events even as described when you actually have a message trail you can follow, as the offending player called me a "Goof."

"Precision" - An obvious failure has occurred with this system of investigation and documentation if they allow players who initiate hate mail to get away with it and punish a victim who will fight back and defend themselves.

"Team" - My favorite is the part where they claim to care about he customer's experience, yet they ban me, a 6+ year member for defending himself against hate mail, and I have had ruined my experience far enough due to belligerent players
instigating hate constantly. I'm sure anyone who works at this PET must be aware of things such as these by now Incitement - Wikipedia

    Inchoate offense - Wikipedia

    This offending player displayed both mens rea and actus reas;
    and yet still goes unpunished!

The Policy Enforcement Team's inability to act appropriately has cost them not one, but two accounts now. Both the account and Starboss47 will be terminated due to the inability of the Policy Enforcement Team to act
in fairness, this complaint will also be sent to every single Xbox email and place I can find to put it. A large decrease in quality of this organization has occurred ever since the departure of Stepto. PS LOLOLOLOL Hillary Lost (I know that offends the PET).

    :)

How many generations of Xbox a game must met?

    Lol wut.

    By title alone wow.

First and foremost YES MS does enforce a policy that Xbox One X games MUST be on all systems (Xbox One is one platform, OG, S, X) that's all one platform MS has said this time and time again.

Backwards compat however is moving forward, meaning NEXT Xbox doesn't have to have the same rule as Xbox One X it could have it's own exclusives, and it would simply be all Xbox Two would play all Xbox One and X360 titles (currently working it's assumed anyhow).

So, no developers won't likely be forced to make Xbox Two games work on Xbox One. That's the wrong direction for backwards compatibility. Now, this is of course a guess because we don't know what Xbox Two is yet and they might keep going the way they are with no generations so all games would work on past systems, there will be a point where they cut that off without the help of the cloud.

I love that you asked to tell you what it said when he clearly states AND they have YOU sign an NDA when you get in, specifically so YOU can't share those details elsewhere without putting your studio at risk from MS (i.e. game being removed from platform, publisher being kicked out of ID, etc). You won't find the real information without doing what Spit said, sign up if you want the policies that MS enforces on it's developers.

Either way, no clue what your title is trying to say. I probably would have gone with "Will MS enforce a policy that causes publishers to release on Xbox Next and current generation" then explain your thesis in the body, but that's just me... could have also done "Will Developers be limited by past generations of Xbox One with Xbox Two?". All of which NO ONE knows.

We can heavily guess, and even make an educated (that's an informed guess) on the situation.

Your own behavior got you suspended. Too bad you didn't just follow this:

If you encounter Conduct or Content that violates the Microsoft Code of Conduct, don't retaliate with prohibited Conduct or Content. Instead, you can:

  5. Well after 10 years I've had enough of letting it slide if someone wants to attack me first they are getting it back five times harder. Ideally Microsoft should be getting rid of antagonizing/instigating players as well. I not so much mad that I was comms
banned, but that the other player remains unscathed. They are very short sighted in this regard. I'm also aware of every feature, no need to list them.

I don't blame you, you're thinking about that moment, and not about whatever @jayadub posted. I bet you with how things normally are, you got the suspension and the other avoided the suspension.

How do you know the other person didn't get punished?

On very rare occasions you may get a thank you message if someone is banned/suspended due to a report you filed but the majority of the time you are not told anything.

If you want to retaliate in a way that violates the rules then you should expect to be punished. No one to blame but yourself.

People who harass & cause trouble get suspended or banned every day but it is not something that can ever be stamped out completely.

No matter where you go or what you do there will always be a few idiots who want to spoil things for everyone else, that's just how the world works.

Communication bans are helping sell PS4s

There is no "new " policy.

The rules have been like this for years.

Keep breaking the rules & eventually you will get caught.

This customer is happy that the enforcement team are doing their job.
1 If the policy isn't new then the methods by which it is determined what kind and how much punishment is necessary. A two week ban for telling a guy you don't appreciate their v*gina on your face? TWO WEEKS?! While I've reported downright cheaters and
intentional teamkillers. My entire team has reported them, yet they face absolutely no consequences.
