Your own Xbox 360 update bricked my Xbox!!!

Yes its been a very long time since i updated my xbox maybe 6 years. But when i turned it on today and tried to update it I got the error e80 which basically means my xbox360 bricked unless i try a bunch of advanced mainboard stuff. This xbox has worked
fine for many years. its an original 120gb xbox 360 elite. And now your very own update bricked it! My family spent over $500 when this came out and we took very good care of it all this time. No problems till I updated. Pretty sure i cant do anything since
we bought it over 10 years ago. Just wanted to say Im really disappointed how all this happened. Extremely careless of microsoft putting out harmful updates to their own consoles!!

EDIT: of course I tried
their recommended troubleshooting steps which are extremely weak and basic troubleshooting! I honestly cant believe they dont even have dedicated support for their system. just forums or ask a gamer.

My Xbox one has received the System Error Code: E200 00000074 00000000

I am in the xbox preview program and the recent cortana update bricked my xbox.

 

XBOS 360 "S" power issue,

Could the may 19th update have some thing to do with this? Could it have bricked my xbox? Because it woked fine when i turned it off on the 19th, Than the next day (The 20th) When i went to turn it on the light on the power supply would turn red and my 360
wouldent turn on. So after hearing about this new update issue, I am kinda wondeing if it bricked my xbox.

of course i tried everything recommended. i just get one red ring on the bottom left every time with the error code e80 on the screen

 

There is an awesome machine called Xbox One...I recomend you to try it!!

 

why would i ever trust them with my console again? I dont support a company that does practices like this. This whole incident has set my mind not to buy an xbox one actually.

We understand that the console appears to be giving an e80 error code.

If the You see an E80 error on your Xbox 360 console article has not assisted, as stated within the page, the last resort is that
the console is in need of some repair. As mentioned in the original post, the console had not been updated for 6 years. The firmware from the start might have had this existing issue of not being able to properly process updates, and only appeared after this
update was attempted.

One suggestion is that some external hard drives can be the cause to updates causing corruption, which lead to such errors, so we say to try switching out the external.

Also try our One red light flashes on an original Xbox 360 console article.

Ive tried removing the hard drive already and has done nothing to help the situation. And have followed those steps for the one red light flash (its recommended in the troubleshooting link i posted already). Ive pretty much accepted that its a paperweight.
Repair cost money and it should be understandable why Id rather not spend the money. The system ran great for dvds and offline games. i never had a need for online services until recently. I just thought i could use the xbox for my netflix. I regret updating
it, now its all gone.

the troubleshooting steps DID NOT HELP AT ALL. I don't know how much more I can be clear on this I've said this 3 times in this thread. Unplugging and re-plugging in things wont help this issue.
