    So, to be greeted with the message in the title once you get home, sign in, go on the game of your choice to see that message... it's infuriating to say the least.

    On a support article I found on Xbox.com, the only piece is the following:

    "Your other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud

    This error occurs when you’re playing on one Xbox One console after having played on a different Xbox One console that hasn’t finished synchronising your saves to the cloud. You have two options:

    • Select Sync last saved data to stop the other console’s upload and instead sync the data on the console you’re currently using. You may lose unsynchronised data from the other console.
    • Select Keep waiting and resolve the sync problem with the other console. This usually means signing in to your profile on that console and letting it complete the upload."
    The only "fix" is to sign back into the "other Xbox", wait for it to sync to the cloud (which currently has no indication as to when and where this happens, it's an invisible action), then turn off, switch Xbox's and hope for the best.

    Let's talk through a scenario.

    I sign into Xbox One (A), I play a game but then my wife wants to use the TV, so I want to continue gaming and go into the other room and sign into Xbox One (B). I load up my game and it syncs to the cloud to fetch my game data and I continue unharmed. She
    then finishes what she was doing and I can now use the big TV again with Xbox One (A) so obviously I want to switch Xbox's. I save my game (to my knowledge, the in game save seems sufficient enough right? It's what we know), I turn off the Xbox and go back
    to the first room with Xbox One (A) and sign back in. I then load up my game to be met with "your other Xbox is taking a long time..." etc. The only option is to "Try Again" or basically scrub everything I've just done for the past hour or so I've been playing;
    as if I've done nothing to progress, so it was a waste of time.

    Now, I could "try again" but that only takes the message away for what, half a second before coming back and giving me the same options. What an absolute joke.

    The fix is telling me to go back to Xbox One (B), sign in and then try again.

    How do I know this will work? How do I know WHEN it has worked? I don't.

    If this was at a friends or families house where I had signed in, played and then returned home, I'd be stuffed! It is shambolic that this can happen after all Microsoft has said in regards to "the cloud". It's simply not good enough. All this back and forth;
    again, how are we meant to know "WHEN" the cloud has synced the upload of saved data so we can use it any where we want? At the moment it's an invisible background task so we don't know when we're safe to exit. We don't know when to turn off and when it's
    OK to sign out and move on.

    This isn't directly related but it's another shared problem how the cloud takes ages to sync sometimes: Seriously: Why are my Xbox One cloud saves so f*cked up?

    The author makes a valid point, it's crazy how long it takes for games to sync. I haven't had too much of a problem with this myself for a while now so whether it was fixed I don't know but the issue regarding switching Xbox's is ***. It would lock me out
    of playing and continuing with a game I was enjoying and progressing with.

    Hope this can be resolved!

    :)

  2. Your other xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud

    Vcize,

    I'm assuming both Xbox Ones are on the same network, connected the same way (wifi versus wired), etc.. Have you tried going to Settings, Network, Network Settings, and select Test network connection to see if either Xbox results in an error. Have you power
    cycled power Xbox Ones by holding the power button for 10 seconds or until the Xbox One turns off, boot them back up, and see if the issue persists.

    I have the same issue but with Minecraft. Home Xbox is hardwired in the living room. Xbox 2 is wireless in the bedroom. Of course, same network and games are online so I know the network connection is good. The "Try Again" option is useless as the sync
    either hasn't happened yet or won't happen at all (idk). Both of my Xbox one's are set to Actually turn of after each use (no instant on).

    So you have 2 xbox ones in the same house ? If so , it could be a router problem , if your router dosent support "multiple consoles" it may get confused with where to send the traffic since both xbox ones use the same ports ...if this is happing at 2 different
    houses then there is some other issue....and for some odd reason (update) game saves and profiles aren't playing well together , usually if you delete your profile and re download it , it seems to work...

    Try clearing local game save data on Xbox (A) under the storage area in settings.

  7. I get this as well, Fifa 16 and Fallout 4 are the main culprits, I sign in to my other xbox and wait ages. There should be a way to manually save the games to the cloud.

    “Your other Xbox is taking to long to sync to the cloud”

    Hello,

    From this page: Xbox cloud game saves FAQ | Xbox Support

    General network congestion and connection quality issues can impact the amount of time it takes to sync your game saves to your Xbox. If you broadcast your gameplay, that can further impact game-save sync time. You can work around this by waiting to start your game broadcast until after the game-save sync process has finished.

    Are you still at your Dad's house and are you able to access the home xbox that is having the sync issue?

    Thank you,

    John
