So I’ve had a Microsoft account for over 7+ years. I’ve had it since the Xbox live family gold package was a thing and when I signed up for that many years ago it changed my email to one of the auto generated ones and now I want to change it and I’m getting this error message Your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias.. The thing is this is my personal account it was never used for work it was never used for school it was just an account made for me to play on the Xbox services and I’ve been wanting to change this email for over four months I’ve called the numbers I’ve worked with the website to try to fix it but there has been no help whatsoever I just want to change my email so I can have my personal email for Xbox instead of the autogenerated one ending in xboxlivefamily.com.

I did some research about this specific issue basically what happened seven years ago when the Xbox family live package was ended and they stopped doing it it glitched my email and got it stuck as my primary atlas and you cannot change it at all so I’ve been just wanting to change my email to my personal one that’s all I’m trying to do it I just looking for help.

It’s just very frustrating because I’ve been using Microsoft for years and I really do like the company but the customer service has been very very hard for me to do anything.

    :)

    Old xboxlivefamily.com email

It says "Your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias.

Your organization's policies prevent you from changing your primary alias.

Since it is an old family account, I believe it is an account with the @xboxlivefamily.com domain, which has been causing this issue.

If that is the case, your only option would be to try with support and see if they can manually change it because as far as I can remember there was not a fix for this.
