    The demise of the 360 ? Well it's going to happen but that depends who buys into the XBOne hype. It could be a very long time as the only game that impressed so far about the One is Ori and the blind forest. If MS want to sell more next gen consoles then

    Xbox 360 support will not end soon. They are releasing the newer games on both consoles...so why would support end for the 360 when new games are being released on it?

    Another thing is that most people don't grasp the concept that the Xbox One is most likely sitting right next to a 360. Its not an all out convert to Xbox One or else scenario. Its a dual console scenario. You aren't switching-you are boosting your overall
    gaming experience. And to say Xbox One wasn't made for gaming is nearly offensive

    Its a gaming system plus.

    There always will be push back on a next Gen console. But you all wait for this holiday seasons game releases and then revisit this forum...some may have a different point of view lol.

    eh for me I love the xbox 360 but right now it is too expensive even with the price drop. Right now they need to iron out all the bugs before I will buy one and plus I like the way xbox 360 does things. I like owning games and I love the backwards compatibility
    which I use all the time. However Xbox One doesn't have that. Seems to have the odd habit of breaking a lot and does not seem worth it as of yet as they have not developed a strong library yet. They will eventually have to stop supporting it but only when
    people actually like the xbox one enough to buy it. If they shut it off now or even 5 months from now I wouldn't do it. Unlike most of the other consoles there is no real reason to buy it.

    As far as I can see there are two places where the One beats the 360 at the moment. It has blu-ray and the games look better.

    Media wise though, with the exception of the aforementioned blu-ray, the 360 is still a better option than the One a year after release. I can't believe they've only just got DNLA support for the One.

    Support for the 360 shouldn't be stopped until the One at least matches its capabilities in all areas.

    Well I`m staying with the 360 as still got so many unplayed/unfinished games on my shelves. Plus I`m not a great fan of an all in one multi media console. My 360 is strictly a gaming console, only app I tend to use is the YouTube app.

    And there is no reason why they can`t leave the 360 servers running alongside those for the Xone as long as there is still a demand for the 360.

    Well said Nabby a gaming console should be primarily only made for games not this other stuff they seem to want to bundle into todays consoles.

    I hope they continue to support it for a long time but eventually they will do it. It will be a sad day for Xbox 360 owners when and if it finally happens.
