Your Network Settings Are Blocking Party Chat [0x89231806]

Hey so on the Xbox App on windows 10 when i join my friends party it says (Your Network Settings Are Blocking Party Chat) I have checked my firewall to make sure that it allows it to go though. Also i have no software to stop the app from working such as
(AVG) or anything.

It was only a problem when i got the new update for the preview members where the party has different colours depending on what your profile colour is. So maybe it could have something todo with one of the new updates

Hey guys,

This sadly happens to a lot of people and not because of your connection, but Microsoft/Xbox live itself, because the app party chat is still in a beta from it is not all perfectly working and you may have to just bare will the minor issues the app is giving
at this time.

It happens to me all the time, it sucks.

Hope it happens less to you though.

 

well i'm still having the same problem and it's been over a week some way to spend my birthday not being able to talk to my friends and family in the party i'm in

 

Im having the same problem but mine was literally working last week and now its just gone stupid

All that says to do is to restart the console! LMAO

You could just say. Hey, restart your console and if that doesn't work, deal with it. Better than reading a whole page of stuff that just says one thing..... RESTART YOUR CONSOLE

Hi Tattie, Thanks for confirming your NAT status is Open. Please go ahead and using the Xbox App Beta, and report this issue by using the "report a problem" located under the happy face icon in the beta app. To DL the beta version just go to the store on
your PC and search for "Xbox App Beta". I will call this out in our reports this issue is still being observed and request an investigation.

Hello the problem is still here!!!!!!!!! Are you really bothered in sort this infuriating tiny problem out which causes a massive problem to your loyal Xbox players ,which have to play games without speaking to each other !!!!!! Who do I need to speak to
to give me a full refund for my Xbox one so I can go and get a play station four console instead???? If not then give me an idiots guide to sorting this out NOW!!!!!! FFS

I also have problems connecting to party chats my Nat is open , I have tried reseting my xbox one console and my modem nothing helps . can't you just go back to the old system before that last update , because it worked alot better than this one does

 

Hi Vovin, Sorry to hear your experiencing this issue. We have received reports regarding NAT is not open issues and we have requested an investigation. Try to see if your able to reproduce this issue using the Xbox App Beta. If the issue keeps happening
report this issue using the "Report a problem" in the beta app. This will help greatly for it will generate a report with logs to help with the investigation.
