"Your Message Could Not Be Sent" Every time I message someone not on my friends list?

Every time I try to send a message to a person that's not on my friends list I am greeted with a message saying "Your Message Could Not Be Sent".

I know the person hasn't blocked me because after countless tries it eventually goes through and they reply.

Could it be my internet connection? Its been pretty bad recently...

I have deleted my profile and cleared my cache multiple times already as well.

Hi i would like to ask you about the problem i have right now. I need some help. I am not sure what i should do. Well, I chat with my friends via xbox live. Later on, it stopped and telling me that "your message could not sent." it is like 3 hours. I couldn't
send anything message to my friends or invite them to play online with me. I dont think i have violate the TOS or what have i done wrong with the communicating with friends? Is that part of Violate TOS? or Am i banned on communication? can you please tell
me the reason why? Can you help me? So i can sort out the problem. I even test with my another account. It works when i send message with my friend but not on this account i couldnt send anything. So its not the problem with my router or something.. So could

Hi there Apollo v7! It is possible that this issue may be connection related. Let's try a few things just to isolate this though. First, have you tried this on any other devices? If you are a Gold member you will be able to use your computer's browser from
Xbox.com to message other users. Second, does this happen with every person you try to message, or just this one user?

 

I have the exact same issue...

on xbox.com I can message anybody and it will not give me the same problem through there. and it is not to just 1 person it is to everyone that is not in my friends list or that I have allready had a message from.

 

TVDL2000, I will try to message you later on tonight when I am home and in front of my console to see if this issue is affecting me as well. Are you on a 360 or an Xbox One?

 

I have the same problem. It has been going on for about a 2 months now. It takes about 30 tries until the message goes through. All my ports are open and I redownloaded my account as well.

 

'glad' to see it's not just me then. I can recieve messages from people but can't reply. Just sent a message to a friend it seemed like it got sent but i didn't see any confirmation.

 

It doesn't happen on Xbox.com to me, only on my Xbox 360. ANYONE I message that isn't on my friends list will make that pop up...

 

I have this same problem as well, xbox.com is fine but on the 360 itself if I voice/text/party invite message someone NOT on my friends list it can take anywhere between 2-40 times of hitting send before the error does not pop up and it goes through. Sometimes
the party invite sent thing won't pop up so it never went through, has this happening for 2 weeks, ideas?

Reset router, unplugged xbox/router, redownloaded profile, cleared cache but still happens.

 

You get this message when you exceed your daily limit of messages. Exactly how many messages this is depends on the following factors:

• How many messages you try to send to strangers per day
• How many messages you try to send to friends per day
• How many unique recipients you try to send to per day

This limit is in place to prevent unwanted messaging to multiple recipients. Read more here

Note After you get this error, you'll be unable to send messages for a 24-hour period.

 

I just had this problem, except I can't message on neither the xbox nor the computer. So, is it possible someone filed a complaint on something I messaged? Mind you I am not vulgar or profane, just a passionate person.
