Alright guys and gals here's my predicament

Been playing with my controller all day knoticed the batteries where about to die so I replaced them. This is where all my problems started.

I Turned the controller back on and it had Un-Synced, so I tried to Re-Sync it. Fail...

I plugged the controller in Via USB. YAY! Its back on (needs an update) cool I gotcha... Goes to 340% then says update failed. Tried this twice same thing

So I decide to just not update the controller.. it works.. The Joy-sticks have stopped working now.....

Look at the controllers update version. it says 0.00000.0..... IT WONT UPDATE!

I'm lost I'v tried everything. I'v hard reset my console, unplugged the power. Both times rinse and repeating everything above both hard resets.

Am I out $70 cause it happened to also be the plug and play combo.. or is there a Fix I haven't tried.

Day One edition controller A button sticks

I thought I was the only one. Never had this problem with a controller less than 2 months old.

You can try holding the guide button on the controller until it resets itself, not sure how long it takes but it seems to be about 20-30 seconds. Worked for me when my controller would shut down immediately after turning it on.

Otherwise you can get a replacement controller by first, if you haven't already, registering your console at myservice.xbox.com and then selecting replace an accessory. You then select your console and you'll be able to select controller. After that it will
ask you to enter the PID for the controller and you'll be able to send it in for a replacement.

I love my Elite but it has it's issues (granted it's like 2 years old/loose grip hit like 6 months ago but the drift started last month). My Elite is probably my only controller without bumper issues. I'm excited for the 2 to release. I'm sure we'll get
some more info before release.

I have this same issue and have had it for months even with Windows 11 and a new PC. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, updating the BT receiver, updating firmware and it DOES NOT WORK. It has to be the new series X controllers because my OLD controller (regular Xbox one controller) works absolutely perfectly even with my new computer and Windows 11. My old controller has always just worked like it was meant to.

Microsoft, please help us. We invested in a product that we believed would be an improvement. In most cases it is. The BT receiver is not functioning correctly which means the awesome new controller is worthless to anyone experiencing these issues. We deserve to have some sort of compensation or resolution for investing in and trusting you.
