Your game of the year

I am getting the most play time out of Diablo and Horizon 2. Not sure I have a GOTY. They have all been a bit of a let down in some way.

 

I've never touched a dragon age game, but all these good things I hear of the new one... I might give it a go.

I can't decide on GOTY... too many great games came out. I wanna say Far Cry 4, but it's pretty much Far Cry 3 with very few new things. I think Titanfall has a shot.

 

I'd give it to Diablo, it's by far the most polished of any AAA next gen releases. The vast majority of what we have seen ( always the case in the first year of a console) are pretty games with mediocre gameplay.

Although I hated the gameplay mechanics of Sunset Overdrive that would be my second choice if Diablo was to be excluded from this poll based on an earlier release even though the next gen version is a very different game.

 

So many great games out right now but the two games I have enjoyed the most this year are: Wolfenstein: The New Order and Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor It would be a coin toss between those two for my GOTY

 

I'm enjoying the Hell outta Far Cry 4, I haven't had this much fun gaming for a long time... I will admit I've missed some biggies (Alien Isolation and Evil Within, were the 2 on my radar I skipped) but for sheer content FarCry gets my vote

I just grabbed Far Cry 4 today and it was a toss up between that and SoM. I'm looking forward to SoM so my game of the year opinion may change after these next two games.

 

There's too many and I haven't played them all, but The Evil Within was awesome, I loved every second of that.

Sunset Overdrive is pretty high up there as well and I've only played for about 2 hours!

^In my opinion SO smokes TWD season 2, I mean that has a really awesome story telling aspect which I love, but it wasn't anywhere near the emotional savagery that season 1 was.

Sunset has ticked a lot of boxes so far for me, the story has been interesting/funny so far, the gameplay is obviously not lacking and the experience is so different to everything else I've played this year, it's very refreshing.

I respect your opinion Lei, but so many games beat TWD S2 in my opinion.

I thought SSO was ok. I didn't even play it for that long, got bored of it fast.

In regards to Dragon Age Inquisition...

Am I the only one that misses the fact that Dragon Age Origins never got a " True " sequel? What happend to the Blight? What happend to the Grey Wardens?

Bioware / EA has thrown out the whole story of Dragon Age Origins out of the window
