has anyone noticed games are getting bigger now? we've got more free roam games than say just 5 years ago (i think GTA and saints row were the only free roam games) and even the games with levels are in-depth and you've got multiple ways of completing the
mission.

If they're this big now and the price tag remains the same could you imagine how big they'll get in just 2 or 3 years from now
Yeah, there are a lot more Open World games now then it was a decade ago. Just like there was a surge of FPS when they took off on consoles. Or how platformers took off in the late 80s early 90s & fighters had a surge in the mid to late 90s.

There can be a lot more to get out of a game if its Open World because you have more options of gameplay. Instead of the games where you go from A to B each & every section of the game & can complete it under 10 hours, you could have a game go for over
30 hours while doing everything the game can offer.
Yes a lot more open world games, more sandbox games, and a TON of co-op games now. Your game of the year :) Just Cause 1 was one of the first really large sandbox games on the 360. It was enormous! Crackdown 1 was one of the most innovative sandbox games on the 360 and in fact
was the very very first full co-op sandbox game created. Not only did it have a full co-op campaign but it had an insane amount of vertical gameplay with 3 cities to explore. That game inspired many co-op and sandbox games. SR2 was the next step in sandbox
innovation. Full sandbox co-op campaign and full customization. There are also a lot more co-op games than there was several years ago. I remember when I first got the 360 there were hardly any co-op games. My co-op list was very very small. Maybe around
3 or 4. Now there are at least 150 different co-op games. I actually lost track and havent updated my list in about 6 months.

.

FPS however seem to be getting much much shorter. As an example COD2 was a very very long campaign. I think it took me at least 10-12 hours to get through that my first time. CODMW2 and BO2 could be beat within 4-5 hours. Same with BF3. Shocked how short
that campaign is compared to BF2.Modern Combat. Halo 4 was still fairly long in length. I believe it took me around 8-10 hours on my first playthrough as a co-op. But I was really taking my time and exploring the amazing campaign graphics.

Dragon Age for me as well, and I'm only 6 hours in. I'll be honest and admit I've skipped a lot of games this year.

Forza Horizon 2 or Sunset Overdrive. Both are superb games.

7. Although I haven't played them all properly, I am going to have to side with Destiny. Now I am not saying its the best game, but for me it is the game of the year. I have spent more time on that then any other game and its been a long time since I stuck
to a single title.

for me it would be Titanfall just for its gameplay alone, but still feel like they're missing too much content. so Sunset Overdrive is my GOTY.

10. Hello everyone Your game of the year :)

..........

Game Of The Year = The Walking Dead: Season 2

There are no flaws in this game, it does everything right and nothing wrong in my book; so without a doubt this is my Game Of The Year pick Your game of the year :)

..........

Honorable Mentions #1 = Destiny (Xbox One)

First and foremost, I LOVE DESTINY Your game of the year :)

The reason that this game failed to become my Game Of The Year is due to its severe lack of content.

The plot holes in this game's Campaign / Story Mode are so huge that if they (the plot holes) were to be visualized as giant holes on the ground, Godzilla himself would fall right down into them.

The saddest part about the story is that base story is so awesome, but ALL of the explanation is stuck outside of the game where you need to read countless pages of text to understand what is going on.

Yes, I know that you can't fit ALL of the lore into the game, but at least put ENOUGH OF IT for the player to understand what in the world is going on.

The gameplay mechanic is absolutely excellent and as well as the music / graphics, I just wish that the rest of the game got equal treatment to the three things that I mentioned. There needs to be more variety of things that the player does in the game.

I gave this game an 8 out of 10

..........

Honorable Mentions #2 = Sunset Overdrive

I bought an Xbox One just for this game and it is an experience that I am glad to have played.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize how " pathethically lame " I was going to be at the game so it was a rough road for me going through the Campaign / Story Mode.

I am now getting " decent " at shooting while grinding (LONG after I beat the Campaign / Story Mode), but only when I am using TNT Teddy and the Hairspray Bomb.

Honestly, I barely play this game now (Sunset Overdrive) but it is one of those games (like " Ninja Gaiden for the Original Xbox; NOT " Ninja Gaiden Black ".) that I will forever cherish and remember Your game of the year :)

I gave Sunset Overdrive with an 8 out of 10 Your game of the year :)

..........

Have a nice day or afternoon or night everyone Your game of the year :)

14. Hello "Sword StyIe" Your game of the year :)

I am playing trying to play through Dragon Age 2 now and I will hopefully be able to complete the game this time around (attempt #4).

As far as Dragon Age Inquisition is concerned, it isn't even on my radar because I am now cautious about the Dragon Age games (Dragon Age Origins is EPICALLY AWESOME) as I slowly trudge along Dragon Age 2 story with a pace that is equivalent of someone trying
to run while dragging a giant boulder at the same time Your game of the year :(

Yeah, the whole game is like that. Go here, then go there, back to here, back to there, here, there, here, there, here, there, here, there, here, there. I think I fell asleep with the controller in my hands a few times while playing it. Did my hard work
pay off? no. I don't even remember anything about the story, characters, dialogue, followers, main quest...nothing. NOT ONE THING. Sometimes I wonder if I even played it. Maybe I didn't.
