Syndicate. It had a really cool story and mechanic where the player could hack things in the world, such as platforms, turrets, grenades, or even people. It also had a really fun coop mode where 4 players would play through missions on various difficulties
and you could upgrade your guns and character.

Mine would be Kingdom of Amalur. It was a great game that has been made back compat so I would suggest playing it if you can find a copy.

Not sure that it's a case that no one heard of it but rather most people just skipped it, but I really liked Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. I remember a lot of people at the time didn't like the corrupt side faction but I found it to be
a welcome addition to the game. They're tactics were more organized than the rebels but not as overwhelming force as the empire and I thought they added a lot to the gameplay.

I really enjoyed TimeShift back in the days of the 360. It was so cool to slow down, reverse, or even freeze time altogether and do stuff that made you feel like such a cool dude.

I'm not entirely sure if TimeShift counts as one of those games no one else has heard of, but it's definitely one of the least talked about games that I remember fondly.

I was over the moon when Flashback was remade, I never managed to finish the OG version. I'd love to see the Desert Strike / Jungle Strike series get a remake too, I had a lot of fun playing all these back in the day.
