  1. Your crappy updates

This is for Microsoft. Your updates suck. Not that updating live content isnt awesome, but the fact that I have to update your live content to play story mode is dumb as hell. My job requires me to move a lot and to places with minimal internet so when I
finally have a chance to decompress and play a game, SURPRISE there is a 4.5 or 26GB update I have to install before playing the single player mode. I've always been a Microsoft user and avoided playstation/pc for gaming (for simplicity), but my god this makes
me reconsider. So know i get to sit here waiting with my crappy internet provider (15mbs) to download an upgrade that im fairly certian has nothing to do with single player. Tell bill gates you guys are screwing up.. I just want to kill nazis and instead i
have to watch a loading screen. Oh, i know, why not play something else right? I would, but those games have updates too! Might as well plug in the N64 and play conquers bad fur day, at least that **** doesnt need to update every day and i can kill nazi teddy
    bears... you guys suck.

    :)

    Crappy ui update

Could someone please tell how I can get the old UI back, it was well set out easy to read and easy to find things. Just had the latest update and it is bloody awful most of my pins are gone/no longer visible or everything has moved, or should I just give
up and buy a PS4 please help.

  3. I hate you

Your support sucks. Your stupid little initial update sucks. I hope the $500 I spent on your crappy console acts as an infectious disease and ruins your whole company..... That is all

  4. Your crappy updates

So don't connect your console to the internet at the new location and you won't be prompted for an update to play the single player portion of a game.

The max size of a system update for the Xbox One is always less than 4GB.

Depending on what game you're going to play, that game developer will have updates for their game. Microsoft has NOTHING to do with game updates for games that they don't own.

The Xbox will tell you if it's a system update or a game update. If it's for a game, then you need to yell at the game developer. Which they were probably getting yelled at already for not fixing the bugs or glitches in the game sooner.

  6. Consider letting the updates download overnight (or whenever you’re not using your Xbox for a prolonged period of time), going offline so you don’t have to deal with download prompts at all, or investing in faster internet.

If game developers could create their game and release it as a one-and-done deal like the “good old days”, then they would. Instead, they’re rushed to produce an irresponsibly complex piece of software by a tight launch deadline. Unless if you’d like to
wait 5-20 years for your next favorite game to be perfected, updates are quite the fair compromise right now. These current-gen consoles are
all heavy downloaders, no matter which you side with.

Monthly system updates for Xbox One S/X/Original are around 250mb-2GB. There are 3 stages to the monthly system update, Download, Verifying, and Install. Install takes 3x longer at least than it takes to download it, due to your console running on an old
mechanical fusion HDD drive 5400rpm/7200rpm. I know because I have an HP laptop with a 6th gen i5 dual core and 5400rpm HDD, and custom desktop with an i7-6700k and 1TB SSD, and installation on an SSD is lightning fast compared to installation on HDD's. I'm
surprised HDD's are still in circulation!

As for the Internet, it is pretty much important to have it these days! It's like just as important as electricity and food. Having no or very limited, access to the internet is like going camping in the wop wops with nothing. I live in NZ (commonwealth
English country) and have Vodafone high speed internet 100mb/s download 10MB/s upload speed. Great for being a YouTuber as I can upload 1080p 15 min videos to YouTube in like 30 minutes instead of 6 hours with ADSL Broadband speeds which average 0.9MB/s upload
    speeds.

As for the updates, they do get annoying. But if you're anti-updates, don't connect to the internet and you can play your games solo but you won't be able to look up anything online with it nor play any multiplayer games, until you
connect your console to the internet.

PC and PS4 will just be as bad! As their system and games go with just as many, if not more, updates as what Xbox One goes through. Xbox One does have an instant on mode, where updates are downloaded in the background, but for this
feature to be any useful, your console must be powered on 24/7/365 as updates are issued at any day and time, by both Microsoft, and the game developers.

Erm.............................You do realise that its not Microsofts fault right?

I mean game updates are just a thing that you have to put up with, and moving over to PlayStation wont get rid of them, if there is an update for say Call of Duty on the Xbox one there will also be an update on the PS4.

The only console that you could play that almost guarantees no game updates is the Nintendo Switch, it does get game updates, but they are usually very small.

  9. Learning a little bit about your console and how it operates would be a big help, instead of ranting for a company to fix things that they've already given you the tools to take care of yourself.

When you get online at home, or wherever you get a good internet connection, do your updates there. When you know you'll be going somewhere that internet will be iffy, then go into your settings (while still online) and set your console to offline mode before
you go. Just make sure you're online when you do that, or it will automatically try to establish a connection the next time you turn it on. If you've properly set it to offline mode, problem solved, because in offline mode it doesn't even check for a connection
when you turn it on, or at least if it does, it doesn't try to connect.
