OK first your account region is not matching your actual location this cause a region violation on your part

Since you are using a us paypal and I'm guessing not a us creditcard but a Belgium.creditcard like mentioned earlier hour billing info must match you're xbox account region

Your billing info if your are using a Belgium creditcard would be a Belgium creditcard which is causing your payment method error you must update using a us creditcard to avoid that error

Using a Belgium creditcard wit a us cpaypal makes it invalid

The billing address must match the account type

Also even if you add a us prepaid creditcard by some miracle (it's playing Russian roulette with guessing which one will work) you will get a region error with dungeon serge 3 since it's region locked

Your can delete your profiles off your friends conskle

 

Keep in mind a lot f games wit gold is region locked so

If you get invalid payment you must update the payment method

So I'm. Not sure what you hoped to accomplish

Xbox 360 games are tend to be region locked and it requires you to be physically there to get it

Unlike using your actual country which would Garentee you can get al the games

 

We did mention the billing error problem you had using an out of region billing info doesn't work

And would've been solved if you had follow our advice

When using the region migration tool to use a billing option it must be valid for the new region or your will gt that billing error

I think what you are telling me is that I am basically "***".

First they treat us Belgium owners like "Tier 2, and bringing the console 1 year later".

Then they tell us that you can buy games digitally from the 13 originally marketplaces.

So I choose United States because then I can read the subtitles in games in English (because most don't support Dutch and then you don't see any subtitles). And so I can buy the games most of the time faster digitally by prepaid cards which I buy on the
Microsoft website no problem.

Now when the backwards compatibility is here ,it's suddenly important that your credit card is a US card and you have no chance anymore to get what you pay for, when you buy Gold.

I don't know about you but you can"t say with a clear face to me that this was communicated to the customers, especially because now I am going to miss half of the gold games.

And another thing that "Oh lord" thing and why are you not listening.

To be honest I find your answers hard to read, it's like your native language isn't English.

So I think this is it for me, again downplayed by Microsoft .

I still don't know what you mean by that, and no I am not going to travel to the US.

Really sorry to hear about the frustrations. While Xbox One Games are certainly region free, we've always recommended that you keep the region of your account and your console tied to the correct region, as purchases and some offers are still tied to region.

Because Backwards Compatible titles are purchased through the Xbox 360 store you will need a payment option and account tied to the correct region to avoid running into any issues. If you 'd like to provide feedback you're always welcome to post over on

The problem is, that for me the rules are not very clear and I don"t know if I can get these free xbox 360 games or not. So if you could answer these questions it would be great.

I am a belgian and have set my xbox one as US for multiple reasons (I am the parent account).

I also have a paypal method on xbox one (with belgian address) , I buy prepaid cards on microsofts website to use the code to buy games on xbox one on the US store.

My nephew who is not 18 has the child account (but I have given him all the rights) and also has gold.

Is it possible to set the region of the xbox 360 on xbox.com to Belgium without affecting it the live gold account on xbox one which is set to US?

So that I log on with his account on a xbox 360 here in Belgium and download the free game and from then on xbox one recognize the xbox 360 is in Belgium and the region is set to belgium so they match. But still keep the xbox one on the US account?

No worries, dxXGamboyXxb. I definitely understand the frustration and confusion.

Cross-region accounts with Xbox 360 titles can certainly cause issues and it isn't something I would recommend, there isn't an official way of setting separate regions on the website and your account.

Because Games with Gold titles can vary on region and game availability changes from region to region it's recommended that you have everything set to your correct region.

 

So here we are, game number 3 of X360 offerings that Xbone GWG subscribers can grab is CastleStorm. I just tried to claim it again on my 13 year old son's Live account with Gold subscription. I still get the same Sorry can't complete this transaction on
xbox.com, try it from an xbox error.

So almost a month into backward compatibility new Xbox Windows 10 powered experience and we still have a glaring issue that MS can't even comprehend, yet alone even attempt to fix. It's like a lot of these programs where first you have to admit you have
a problem. Hey, MS, your point of sale system has a problem!!!

I will try and do the change region thing. See if that makes a difference, but I suspect not.

Also, for what it's worth, since I have claimed Dirt 3 and Dungeon Siege 3 from an x360 console on my son's account, it has not made a difference for subsequent purchases via xbox.com.

As far as other folks mentioning they can't claim their games and they are not child accounts and they have valid payment options in place, I do not know what is causing their issues. Maybe this is something broken far beyond what I suspect is a child account
issue.

 

I tried to change my xbox360 location as was suggested and it won't let me for some reason. I read all the restrictions and can't see anything that would prevent me.

 

I have all the same problems. It is not a region issue.. all my accounts and hardware have always been set to Canada. I think it's a bug with child accounts and xbox live gold.

I am just going to give up and not even try Microsoft support after reading this thread.
