I also have the same issue with my 13 year old son's Live account with Gold. He also gets the "Sorry" message when trying to claim the x360 GWG games from Xbox.com. I fully believe this is an imposed restriction by MS preventing purchases on Xbox.com by
child accounts.

I spent mist of Saturday 11/14/15 on phone with Xbox support. I spoke to numerous reps. Had lots of dropped calls and had to keep calling back in. None of the reps were familiar with how to claim x360 GWG games from Xbox.com. Reps wanted me to try it
from the Xbox one console, which is not an option per the 90 second video on the Xbox one console dashboard. Ultimately NS was like try it for on an x360 console. I do not have an x360 console.

Honestly, MS needs to get a clue and fix this. There reps should know about the child limitation if their point if same system on Xbox.com and have a way to add the licensed of GWG games to valid Gold Live accounts. MS should have rolled out the ability
to just claim the x360 games from the Xbox one console to make this new experience complete.

As it is now, I sm basically kicking in a friend's door now twice a month to use his x360 to claim my son's x360 games he is entitled to.

I'm having a similar problem and I don't have any child restrictions or secondary accounts. I simply can not complete 360 purchases for my Xbox one. They tell my I don't have a valid payment option on file (I actually have two.)

I also received my gears of war download codes last night and only two of the four worked :/

 

I think I have a solution (or at least one that worked for me).

I'm in Canada, and I don't know if that's relevant to this problem, but it was for the solution.

From the Xbox 360 games store, where I could never complete a purchase, I clicked on my xbox account. Went to "Xbox Settings" where it now displayed my Xbox 360 settings and Xbox 360 Live account (I've never owned a 360).

Here I chose "Change 360 account region" selected "Canada" and I was able to go ahead with all my purchases.

I hope this works for other people with the same issue!

 

I am also having problems when downloading Xbox 360 games with Gold for Xbox One. I have a valid payment on file. I click download and a message appears saying this game will appear on your Xbox 360. It does not appear on my Xbox One in my games waiting
to be installed. Can someone please help. I have also spoken to an agent on Xbox live chat and followed the instructions to the letter and still cannot download Xbox 360 games.

 

Hey everyone having issues purchasing with a child account. Do you have access to an Xbox 360 where you can check the account's privacy settings? It's possible you don't have correct privileges set and you should be able to change them on there.

Mutley71, your issue sounds a bit different. Please power cycle your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds (or until your Xbox One powers off) and turn it back on to see if the titles appear. Be sure you're purchasing games that are currently

Unfortunately I don't have a xbox 360 to check or know someone who has.

With my parent account I have allowed my nephews account (-18 yr with gold) all the settings in the

Xbox 360 Online Safety.

But still no success. I think I switched his account to United States and still no success.

I am getting a little frustrated and that was the last thing that I know what I can do.

So I hope that someone who can check my account or knows what is wrong can help me, because I have run out of ideas.

 

I am getting desperate here.

What else can I do?

Must I email Microsoft (at what address) and where must I resolve this issue.

I thought that this was also a official means of communicating with the help desk.

For everyone who is getging the must complete the purchase on a 360 console that is a console compatibility check some games have them

However gwg asks you to do it for first purchases and only forward first purchase

Meaning you can rent or borrow a friends console and make one purchase and it will solve the problem until you move to another region

Keep in mind region check are still in play meaning you can't download pal content in a ntsc console that is what the region checks are for

Everyone else yes for parental settings the purchase must be made on the console for free games

 

Major Nelson already said only the website or the 369 consoles is your only options

 

The one interface only has the one marketplace and they are completely separate stores

 

The one only has the dashboard not the store interface for the 360 it's a basic emulator with party chat etc

 

I don't know if this was pointed to me.

So if I don't have access to a Xbox360 I don't have any change of downloading the free gold Xbox360 games?

Is this a issue that Microsoft knows about and is working on or do I have to email them?

I think this is unacceptable and hope their comes some sort of solution.

 

I don't remember any mention of a work around

Support and preview team have stated regional locks would still be in effect it would be against the law to break those locks as the copyright and distribution rights are the publishers

There is a solution rent a console from your video store or a friend

You only need to make one purchase
