Your account is already associated with this Xbox, even if there is no account

If the factory reset did not work, please try these steps:

Solution 1: Check to see if your account is already on the console

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Sign In.
3. Scroll through the gamertags to find yours.
4. Select Sign in under your gamertag.

Solution 2: Remove and redownload your profile

If you were unable to sign in to your account, you will have to remove and re-add it to the console.

Step 1: Remove your account from the console

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and go to System.
2. Select Settings > Account.
3. Select Remove accounts.
4. Select your account, and then confirm removal.

Step 2: Restart your Xbox One console

1. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
2. Select Restart console.
3. Select Restart.

Step 3: Re-add your account to the console

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Sign in.
3. Select Add & manage.
4. Select Add new.
5. Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.
6. Follow the instructions on the following screens to finish personalizing your settings.

If the problem persists, try doing a soft factory reset of the console,
reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Since you already have a log-in associated with your account, you already have Live account so you don't need to Join Live. That's if you were turning an offline account into a Live accounts. That's why it says there is already an account associated with
your email.

It means you already have a Xbox Account associated to your Email you put in for your new account. Try using another email. Or change the email address of the account associated with the Email you are trying to use.

Problem

If you get this message and error code, it means your Microsoft account is valid, but it is not associated with a LIVE account.

To sign up for an Xbox LIVE account associated with your Microsoft account, go to Join Xbox LIVE.
