Young son lost all his cars etc on Horizon 3

Just wondered if anyone could possibly help?

My young son (10), got FH3 for his last birthday a year ago, so has accumulated a year's worth of driving points/cars etc.

Yesterday when he went to play, he said he had a message come up on screen with 3 options

1 go back to the start of the game

2 start in the middle

3 carry on where he left off (the day before)

He has never seen this message before, and accidently pushed number 1

He has now lost everything and the game is as if he is a new user

He is absolutely distraught as playing for a year to be lost by the push of a button, and no warning

Has anyone else had this, and can he restore he previous game

selling cars on forza horizon 2 on xbox one

my son just tried to sell 2 cars on his forza horizon 2 game on xbox one, but didn't receive any CR's. The cars just seem to have disappeared from his garage. can anyone help? can we get the cars back?

My 10 year old son got forza 3 for his birthday a year ago. Today, when he went to play the game, it came up with 3 options - to go back to the start of time, in the middle, or pickup where he left off. He accidently chose to the start of time when he
first got the game, and is now extremely upset as all his hard work driving over a year has gone. However, he can still see his achievements etc for this game.

Why did it come up with this message, and can we retrieve his game?

 

Need more specifics. ALL cars? Whole garage empty? Anyway sign out of your account. Next delete your account off of that game console. restoring back to factorysettings. Everything the account has is stored in the Cloud. Do a hard reboot un connect all
wiring to and from power pack, wait for light to go out before hooking up everything and doing a hard power up swip your thumb on console button do not use controller. Everything done loading power controller on and sign in to a new console with your Outlook.com
