I keep getting you need to install the game or app for this 0x80270254 on my Xbox one console when i click on my games & apps, settings and parts of the store. Also it seems other menu options on left hand side I can not highlight or move my cursor to it
anymore. Please help, this is killing me.

every time I try to access the Xbox store or something that redirects me to it I get this message;

You need to install the game or app for this

Make sure that you're signed into Xbox live, and look for it in the Microsoft store. (0x80270254).

I don't know what to do but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried doing a hard reset on your One? Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until it shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Yes. I tried this a couple of times. No luck though, the problem is still occurring.

 

Try logging out of your profile and logging back in. If that doesn't help then go ahead and try removing your profile and re-downloading it. Good Luck!

 

I tried restarting my Xbox with the wireless turned off. But no luck. Also I can not remove my profile or log out as I cannot access setting or the log out function. Setting is getting the error as well.

 

I have the same problem, cant even acces to configuration.... Need help.

 

I tried Offline System Update Diagnostic Tool to update my console then I got E203 00000803 80070005 error after the update. Finally I tried the tool to restore to factory default. This has fixed it. Though I need to reinstall my games.
