    I was trying to join a realm and it says "you cannot play multi-player because of how your Microsoft account is set up." So I follow the link, and all the options are already checked to "allow" so I have no clue on what to do.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    If you're on an Xbox console and your settings are all set up correctly you need to make sure that you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription which is required to play an online multiplayer game. To check. please follow the steps below:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues. The only reason you would see this message is because your account is not an adult account and is part of a family group.

    You will need to ask an adult member to go the following link to amend the settings for your profile:
