Now, live with it. And before everyone starts flaming me, I was one of the ones who happily bought my Day One Edition Xbox One with no regrets to this day. I have always known that this was coming as not everyone cares for the whole Kinect as a gaming
device. However, to this day I do not regret my decision to purchase on Day One. People on here though spewing that they are going to go after MS through the legal system are quite entertaining. MS had to do this if they were going to stand a chance. So
in turn either live with your decision or sell your Kinect on Ebay, Gamestop, Craigslist etc. I swear I have come to believe that there is no pleasing this community. Also, Yusef and Phil stated in the announcement that they have no plans to abandon the
peripheral. If they were going to do that then they would not be planning to release it as a separate accessory.

they didn't need to do it to 'stand a chance' seeing as the competition is losing money like it going out of fashion...

but from a marketing view, they should pull in more consumers as they only want half a console, so that's what they have!

 

I know but I just cannot understand how in the end MS has bent over backwards to make their gamer user base happy and there is still constant complaining.

There's 'some' gamers out there that you will never please, or they just like to argue for the sake of it. I'm not sure why they even bother, for me gaming is meant to be about fun and looking at some and how angry they seem in posts, well it doesn't seem
gaming suits them.

 

MS, unfortunately, is stuck between a rock and a hard place - there's no way for them to make everyone happy, so they're taking the lesser of 2 evils. Don't worry about the mob that's attacking them either - they always lose interest and/or support and die
down eventually.

Totally agree, we see this "mob hate" when they announced the price drops, we will no doubt see it again when there's future price drops, it always settles down.

There was rumour/whispers yesterday on Twitter that Sony are announcing a price drop at E3, loads were going off on one about this possibility.

Like you said, you will never please everyone.

 

From what I have been reading and hearing, Sony cannot afford to do a price drop on the PS4 right now because they are in financial trouble as it is, so a price drop makes no sense as they are losing money on the consoles anyway. Could be wrong though.

 

@FullHornet - I think most of the community are aware of what they bought when they bought it. The bitterness on most other sites go's back to e3 2013, the people here complaining about Kinect are the thinnest layer of icing on any interwebs cake. Just ignore
it.

 

In my opinion, they needed to hit the "panic button" and they did. If it was selling as well as they thought it would, then they wouldn't have done it.

tbh , I bought my D1 edition with fifa for £430 and the standalone is going to be £350 ... so £80 isn't to bad considering I got a £50 game ... not to mention there hasn't been a day I haven't not played my one yet ... so got my use out of it ! tech reduces
in price ... people should live with it ....

 

as for kinect, I hardly have it plugged in but at least I can do xbox fitness if I ever get bored
