You have not signed in. GTA 5

Hi there, I have searched the internet for a solution to this problem but it doesn't seem that common with no definitive answer.

My problem is that when I load GTA 5 on my 360 it comes up with an alert 'You have not signed in. You will need to sign in to save your progress and to be awarded achievement. Do you want to sign in now?'

I am signed into my gamer profile, but I click yes anyway and select my profile but then it says 'your console can't connect to xbox live' and it wants me to test my connection and connect. This will actually fix the issue but the thing is my xbox has issues
connecting to my university internet so sometimes I can't actually get a connection but besides this I don't want to have to do that every time I want to play GTA 5.

If I select no it loads the game from the start.

Any ideas that'll help?

Recently I also got signed out from Xboxlive and GTA online but that's probally because the internet cable I use from my Xbox360 to my modem is broken somewhere.

So if you've an extra cable, try that one.

mine has been doing this same exact thing for almost a month and i cant find any solutions i just unlocked trevor and i heard he fun to play as but my thing screws up so now i cant play xc

 

Sorry to hear you're having issues. The big culprit here is the university internet. What you'll need to do is contact the administrator for the internet service and let them know what's going on. They should be able to help you get a stable connection
for the console.

I don't think that the internet is the issue, I should be able to play GTA 5 offline with a saved game file from the HDD.

I have already contacted the internet provider and had my xbox as an accepted device it's just awkward for me to connect as the signal isn't great.

 

At the moment, I don't have any way to connect my Xbox 360 to the internet, is there any way to play and save GTA 5 while offline?
