    I'm getting same error. Valid card entered which works everywhere else in the world. Spent ages searching around trying to fix it and trying other methods. Then eventually decided that if xBox don't want my money I won't give it to them. If one of the team
    can let me know when you guy are willing to let me pay you for your stuff then I might try again sometime soon. In the meantime I'll be on Steam.

    I was having the same issue... tried all the above and no luck.

    Heres what worked for me.

    Went to buy a xbox360 games with gold. It said no valid... underneath it have a change payment option (not sure of the exact wording) i selected this and it popped open a browser window where none of my billing information was saved. Inputted all this and
    clicked next, here it had my card details saved to file already so i clicked done and hey presto its now working.

    Presumably, the billing information doesnt port over from xbox one to ms account info for 360 items...

    I've just had a chat with XBox Customer Support (very efficient) who confirmed "The Xbox 360 marketplace has not been updated to use the account balance online."

    I'll get the kids to purchase and download via the console then!

    First off, go in and make sure that your card details haven't been deleted for some reason. After that, double check to make sure that all the info is correct and that the card hasn't expired. If all of these items are correct, then you will need to contact
    Support and have them assist with your concern. Hope all goes well and you get to purchase the game, it's a great one!

    Hi! I'm sorry that you have this issue. Unfortunately, you must have a payment method on file while getting or viewing a backwards compatibility xbox 360 game. Even if this game is FREE,but you will not be charged if you do so you can remove it afterwards
    if you wish. Hope I could help!

    I'm not so sure any of the Mods here will be able to give you the answers you seek. They are two different teams, if it is an issue they are aware of they are likely working a fix for it. I would suggest going to this site
    http://xbox.uservoice.com/ search for the topic, if it isn't already there feel free to start your own topic and have your voice heard.
