"You have no valid payment options on file."

i keep getting the error message: "You have no valid payment options on file." when i try to download dirt the showdown. yet i have an active gold membership and my creditcard on record. any ideas what could be causing this?

I have been trying to buy avatar items on the Xbox One for some time now, but it keeps saying that I have "no valid payment options on file." I had plenty of money from the Microsoft prepaid money cards as I don't like using my credit card. I am able to
still buy games and add-on content, but it will not allow me to buy avatar items. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out.

You can try downloading the game from the console or from PC (Xbox.com website). If same issue persists, you can try deleting and re-downloading the profile.

In none of the steps have worked, contact Xbox Customer Support o review your account.

 

Make sure your credit card has not expired. That will also cause the error. Good Luck!

In order to download free games a valid payment method must be provided in order to confirm your billing address. No money will be withdrawn upon purchase though, you just need to add a payment method which TitanFeller FTW has provided you a link with on

I'm from Argentina. I have the Xbox Live GOLD Suscription with the credit card saved.

When I try to download the free game that cames with Games With Gold it pops the message: "You have no valid payment options on file.".

With the message appears the option to add a credit card. But only a USA Credit Card.

How can I do it with a Local Credit Card?

 

I'm having the same problem with purchasing a game, and have updated my debit card but the problem still persists

I am having this exact same issue. I have a valid up to date credit card on file for my xbox gold live subscription, I am able to purchase and download games, but when I try to buy an avatar outfit or anything related it says I have no valid payment options
on file despite my credit card being right there. It makes no sense. Is that a global issue that they need to fix?

 

it happened to me too. even with my gold membership and have an active credit ard on some games and buying avatar it was asking that I have no valid payment and asked me to add a payment but when I was trying to add my credit card info the region was fixed
on United kingdom and I couldn't change it.

the customer support was unable to fix the issue and I finally solve it by going to Sign in to your Microsoft account and update my region to USA and all my credit card information showed
up .

This actually fixed my problem. I was stuck in this weird loop of trying to add a payment option, but it would then error out. When I try to manage it, it would then default to a US-based profile site. Migrating my profile to the correct region "Canada-US"
fixed the problem. I resolved this problem on my PC. Thanks to kavoos..this worked. So for anyone having problems, try doing it on the webiste and manage your payment option, and ensure that the page reflects your current location.
