    “You have no valid payment options on file”


    I am trying to buy a couple of star wars games from the original Xbox console off of the Xbox one store. Despite having my valid credit card on my account it keeps giving me the error “You have no valid payment options on file.” I tried removing then adding
    my card back on, removing my account from the xbox and re-adding it. Its starting to get ridiculous! I have spent two hours trying to make this work as support is not open right now an I’m assuming these games are on sale for star wars day and as such, will
    no longer be on sale in the morning. I then added money on my account balance to try to skip the credit card step just to be informed that account balances don’t work for original Xbox games! So now because of a microsoft glitch I’m out a bunch of time, and
    money... and I still don’t have my games!! Any other suggestions to fix this? I have tried everything I could Think of at this point and the fact that its this hard to purchase these games is absolutely ridiculous.

    I've just had a chat with XBox Customer Support (very efficient) who confirmed "The Xbox 360 marketplace has not been updated to use the account balance online."

    I'll get the kids to purchase and download via the console then!

    First off, go in and make sure that your card details haven't been deleted for some reason. After that, double check to make sure that all the info is correct and that the card hasn't expired. If all of these items are correct, then you will need to contact
    Support and have them assist with your concern. Hope all goes well and you get to purchase the game, it's a great one!

    Hi! I'm sorry that you have this issue. Unfortunately, you must have a payment method on file while getting or viewing a backwards compatibility xbox 360 game. Even if this game is FREE,but you will not be charged if you do so you can remove it afterwards
    if you wish. Hope I could help!

    I'm not so sure any of the Mods here will be able to give you the answers you seek. They are two different teams, if it is an issue they are aware of they are likely working a fix for it. I would suggest going to this site
    http://xbox.uservoice.com/ search for the topic, if it isn't already there feel free to start your own topic and have your voice heard.
