Hello,

I got my first Xbox ever today, the Xbox one s digital. Picked it up on a Black Friday sale because I wanted to play a few 360 games that spiked my interest recently, and check out some current titles too. So since the Xbox one is backwards compatible, I
decided I'd try it out - easier said than done though apparently. I have seen this error in the forums quite a bit, but nothing I've read seems to be working. Here are my details:

I live in Canada, tried first to sign in with an older account I've had since 2001. Added my Visa and PayPal, but still had the error. Looks like I had a localization setting accidentally set to US, so changed it back, reset console, etc. Still no go when
buying the 360 games. Everything else looks great. I've only ever lived in Canada eh.

So then I created a brand new outlook.com email, brand new xbox profile, put in my same Visa and PayPal, but same error.

So, how do I get the games on the console? I understand I can't use a gift card for this so that's not an option. I tried to buy them on my profile on the website but same deal. Can I find a friend with an Xbox 360, log in with my account, buy the game,
then it will be available on my Xbox one when I return home?

Any advice is appreciated, ugly workarounds welcome! Thanks!

I've just had a chat with XBox Customer Support (very efficient) who confirmed "The Xbox 360 marketplace has not been updated to use the account balance online."

I'll get the kids to purchase and download via the console then!

First off, go in and make sure that your card details haven't been deleted for some reason. After that, double check to make sure that all the info is correct and that the card hasn't expired. If all of these items are correct, then you will need to contact
Support and have them assist with your concern. Hope all goes well and you get to purchase the game, it's a great one!

Hi! I'm sorry that you have this issue. Unfortunately, you must have a payment method on file while getting or viewing a backwards compatibility xbox 360 game. Even if this game is FREE,but you will not be charged if you do so you can remove it afterwards
if you wish. Hope I could help!

I'm not so sure any of the Mods here will be able to give you the answers you seek. They are two different teams, if it is an issue they are aware of they are likely working a fix for it. I would suggest going to this site
