You guys dont practice what you preach to us.

My gamertag is currently in avoid status. Through no fault of my own. The code of conduct team lets little racist kids on live have more power than them. I have had little racist white kids on there tell me that they would spam my
reputation on my live account and I would not be able to play with anyone. That's exactly what they did. You enforcement guys system is crap. My account shows that it's in good standing on your website. But it shows avoid on my console. I have no way to appeal
my case. And this is what you have the nerve to have as advertisement on your site. (see below) The amount of racism against African American gamers on Live is not policed at all. It's ridiculous. I have been playing on live for 12 years. Since its beginnings.
I believe it's ridiculous that the code of conduct team doesn't have contact info and doesn't communicate with other depts. of xbox live too. You have no way to defend yourself or explain yourself to anyone. I think I am at wits end and I am thinking about
Switching to Sony or Nintendo.

Forgive me Father for I have...

hunted the buffalo in Red Dead Redemption to extinction because there was an achievement for it.

stomped many a chicken in Gears of War 3.

tried (yes tried, thank you Mr. Levine for not having the courage of your convictions to actually let me go through with it) to throw a ball at an interracial couple in Bioshock Infinite.

Dropped a phospherous bomb (? i think) on a crowd of soldiers instead of killing them 1 by 1 in Spec Ops.

ad nauseum.......

And thats not counting all the things various games have made me do. The question as far as video games are concerned may not be do you practice what you preach, but can you practice
anything you preach? Morality in video games is null and void anyway as both player choice can be counterfeited to conform to the games true narrative and once you add restarts and checkpoints making undoing any choice youve already made possible,
there are zero consequences anyway. IMO as always.

If someone is being abusive over live then report & block them.

If they are guilty then they will be dealt with.

The enforcement team has nothing to do with a user's reputation, that is why it cannot be appealed.

As Daft mentioned, if you run into players breaking the code of conduct, report, mute and block them. Steps on how to report users can be found

Have you tried playing a wider variety of games to improve your reputation yet? Getting a larger variety of players/games for the system to pull info from can help a reputation.

 

How can you try a variety of other games to improve your rep, If your rep is in avoid status and you can't connect to anyone in multiplayer to improve it? Also you are wrong about the enforcement team not having anything to do with rep. They do. They have
an appeal system. But you can only use it if your ban is shown on your rep page xbox.com. Mine says that I am a good player, in good standing, which I am. But my console says avoid me.

 

Thanks for your advice. But, I know about the rep system and how it works. I know how to block and report team killers and bad players on live. I have been a member for the last 13 years. I have followed all of the steps that you say follow. After all these
years on live following all of the steps you say to follow. I still see nothing done about the racism on live and the team killing cheating, etc... The players that do these things on there just start another account and start doing it all over again. I even
hear them brag about that's what they will do. But, players good friendly players like my self get spammed by them to ruin my rep. so I cant connect to other players and have no way of complaining about it.

 

Playing the free mmo's like Neverwinter,Star Trek Online,World of Tanks etc. are the best way to improve your rep.

Sometimes the enforcement site takes a bit to sync up.Whatever it says your rep is on your console is your true rep.

All the things you mentioned can never be completely stamped out.

The enforcement team seem to be now handing out temporary console bans to prevent repeat offenders from creating new accounts to avoid suspensions.

They will also issue a permanent console ban if accounts on the same console keep getting enforcement action.

They are doing what they can but like I said,it's impossible to completely stamp that sort of behaviour out.

I've been on xbox live since it began & it's always been there & it's the same over on PSN as well.
