You guys are right, graphics don't matter.

Yeah I know I spent my 500 bucks for gameplay only! Pfftt yeah right give me a break. Why do graphic cards sell like hot cakes then..

Well I support both consoles. I love both consoles equally - I'm just a bit disappointed more in one than the other.

On one hand & consoles I don't have any high quality games to play and on the other console I'm stuck with a lot of media hub features I don't use.

Graphics don't matter....It's all about frames per second. I just did a benchmark for minecraft on my new PC. I average 550 frames per second. max of 964. Most of the other games (AC4, batman, COD 4 MP) were running between 80-200 frames per second,
didn't benchmark them though. (This is with ultra settings, 1080p...and I'm not even overclocking my 4670k yet).

But honestly, there is an obvious difference between the 360 and the one. Continue to pay $60 for the inferior 360 version of games if that makes you feel thrifty.

There is a noticeable difference now between the 360 and the one..... and the gap will only continue to grow.

I seriously don't understand why people are going to wait to purchase an xbox one. If you plan on buying it next year you might as well buy it now (as long as you can afford it).

 

Good luck playing games like Evolve, The Witcher 3 and The Division on 360. Not to mention missing out on Killer Instinct, Ryse and Dead Rising 3.

A) Unrealistic expectations

They are called VIDEO games. Emphasis on video....so, yes, graphics are important.

Thats said...lol, the X1 graphics aren't that bad...I don't see a major problem. Sure there will be some that the lesser resolution and whatnot make upset...but graphics are at the point where they are just awesome....no need to be worried about if it will
look bad or not.

 

both next gen consoles dont go woah look at us.

 

I think they both do, actually. I know the PS4 did...which is why I bought one.

X1 is intriguing, but will have to wait a while to be placed in my entertainment center.

 

That's really a dumb article, read the comments. IMO graphics do matter but when they are close and when a person has a very hard time seeing the difference, then it doesn't matter. IMO the X1 has better graphics right now, and also way better games. I think
there is going to be a lot of people saying *** I purchased the wrong console when Titanfall releases!

I also purchased a PS4 and as right now don't know why!

 

Exactly JWSpeed. An opinion. Like a lot of threads on here, They are opinion based. And refer to that persons perceived idea of what they wanted from a console.

As to Titanfall, I do not know if it's a Console seller, as it is available on 2 other formats that have a much larger user base. Again at the sound of boring, and in keeping with the thread. As Graphics and FPS do not matter to a lot of people as some like
to point out, why would anyone by a £430 console and then £43 on the game. (That's not the console edition) when you can play the same game for £33 on the PC, or £42 on the Xbox 360.

And i know people are going to say it's because of the Cloud, But all formats are running on Microsoft's Azure servers.

 

If graphics don't matter, next time you have a conversation with a friend about a new console or game, see how long it takes before "what are the graphics like?" crops up.

Thats why games no longer look like "Yars Revenge" on the 2600. More powerful systems allow bigger, more detailed and immersive environments. Its not often you talk about a new game and someone asks about the sound etc - graphics are key.

 

Graphics do matter. Would gears of war been as amazing if it were back and white stick figures? Yes, graphics give a game that flashy factor, but the Xbox One has flashy graphics. The differences are tiny, no matter what anyone says. They are still sublime
for their purpose, on both consoles.
