    This is correct. There were originally 12 Halos, 5 were destroyed even before the Humans found them. In Halo: CE, Master Chief destroys Installation 04. In Halo 2, Installation 05 is discovered, but not destroyed. Killing Tartarus (leader of the Brutes)
    and retrieving the activation index lead to the entire Halo array being put on standby, which meant that the Ark could remotely trigger the firing sequence of the array. Installation 05 is left in tact, and in Halo 3, the Ark is found to be creating a replacement
    of Installation 04 (the ring destroyed in Halo: CE). It's not finished yet, but Master Chief lights it in order to destroy it along with the Ark.

    So, to summarize, Master Chief destroyed Installation 04
    twice, but has not destroyed any other piece of the Halo array except for the Ark (Installation 00). So, as Static Jak said, half of the array is still functional. However, there
    is no conspiracy. Halo: Wars and Halo: Reach take place before any of the Halos were even discovered, and ODST takes place smack dab in the middle of the events of Halo 2. The number of games Bungie made were directly related to their contract with Microsoft,
    not Halo canon.

    No, the only ones destroyed were the 4th one and the Ark, which isn't a ring.

    Also it is next to impossible to tell if the OP is getting the Seven Halo Rings mixed up with the Halo game Trilogies.
