no destiny doesnt have a story and if it does then its rubbish like the game. as for the videos i think its telling us that ONI are upto something and Chief and Locke are after each other

I prefer the 1st trailer. I saw the hunter character in Halo MCC Halo 2 Campaign in the first cutscene.

My very first Halo game was the silent cartographer demo on PC when I was very little. After joining Xbox late 2010, my first Halo game was Halo Reach (got 9/10/2011 I found the receipt in the case, the disc doesn't read so got the second copy I have the
receipt and case too: 16/7/2013 the disc reads on my console), then slowly got Halo Wars, Halo CE Anniversary, Halo 4, Halo 3 (hardly touched). I got Halo MCC day 1 for Xbox 1. I like the ideas of Halo but even I don't fully understand the transcripts and
story enough. Maybe we should get HaloJolly on here (who I've seen in the Halo 4 Forums and met in an Xbox 360 multiplayer game A World of Keflings). Halo is one of the biggest things known to Xbox. I heard about a Halo movie and if they're bringing it out
to DVD/Blu-ray. If so will it be available for PAL regions NZ/Australia or just a digital version. I've seen a few trailers. I think Halo is cool. I guess I should get into Halo more but I simply don't have the time to and in weekends I just prefer to take
it easy.

 

I agree with LostKauz that. "Halo.. (HAS.. is the word i would use)... is becoming irrelevant as a Franchise." For apart from a bit of next gen eye candy. Whats New about it?

Push this, Kill some Aliens, etc. Nothing earth shattering about Halo since Halo CE. Which I may add, set the stage and raised the bar for all FPS that followed.

Since then... What? Oh, rocket boost out of danger.

Now, like COD, the MP aspect of Halo may draw in a lot of initial support before falling away quick. But the real Jewel, that once was Halo. Has lost it's luster.

 

Time to unwrap my copy of MCC i've had since xmas and do some replaying!

@ElectricFlying : You can say this,for all games.Not only in Halo or FPS but every game genres.

And usually,when devs try/wants to make changes,adds new features,ect...You see a bunch of "fans" complains about every new things, want to play it the way it was a decade ago.....

 

Since the 70's,i have to press buttons to play videogames.Nothing new,nothing fresh in the "next-gen" world....

 

Destinhy gamepolay with a Halo story would be really awesome.

I absolutely loved Halo 3 but Halo 4 didnt grip me as much. Hopefully 5 will be a return to former glory.

 

@Tzar: We aren't talking about controller buttons, but the Character in a game, in this case Master Chief, having to push buttons. kill that, etc.

Why not go with something New, and exciting?

During xbox forums olden day's. You know, back when MS/Bungie actually read/posted in the forums. I suggested that for Halo 2, they give the Chief the ability to lay flat out on the ground when Sniping etc.

What did we Halo fans get. The ability to hold 2 guns. Then... Push button, kill aliens, (Halo 2) then... push button, kill more aliens.... (Halo 3) Then.... Push button, kill more aliens. Jet pack out of trouble COD Style. (Halo 4)

Anything New under the Sun which ONCE did shine on Halo?

 

NO. No Destiny style game play with Halo.

Being online only is something us free roaming Campaign players will not put up with!

Same as Battlefield,Ghost Recon,....Why not...But pretty sure,some would complains that devs try to copy some other shooters like you did with COD and Halo 4.

By the way,Prometheans aren't Covenants and doesn't use the same AI routines but i guess,it's just another AI enemy to kill....

 

I have no excitement and no confidence in 343. I'll wait for reviews and maybe check it out if there is nothing else to play and only if it works.

The one thing I really dislike about Halo is the art style. The actual gameplay mechanics are pretty solid though.

 

I can't wait to learn the truth. Halo 5 is going to be epic.

I vehemently disagree with LostKauz. And I don't see how Halo can be Each game such as Halo: Reach and Halo: ODST and can't forget Halo Wars brought their own gameplay style and art/story direction. And there is no doubt that Master Chief is the face
of Xbox. He has been protected and used wisely. He has not thrown "parties" or raced in "Karts". In Xbox's great 14 years Master Chief has been in 4 games in those 14 years. Halo's legacy was cemented and built upon only after a few years. Master Chief
is not thrown around, and put in every game. Like other the other face.

^ I get what you're saying. On that note: I have defended Halo 4 religiously since it's November ? release until... They nerfed the DMR while boosting the BR all the while refusing to make Spartan Ops playable offline. < ForShame!

That being said. Halo could use a lot more abilities, which in my opinion, can only add to the excitement in both campaign, and MP gaming.

I just feel that Halo needs to do something special in order to compete in today's FSP marketplace. And Halo shows/movies aren't the answer!
