I have the same question, but for Minecraft. It states the following: “ You cannot play on realms because of how your Microsoft account is set up. This can be changed in your privacy and online safety settings on aka.ms/accountsettings “

I’ve “allowed” everything on the page it took me to but it’s still not working.

Try restarting if that does not work it may be you have a Teen or Child account.

Reinstalled the game and it fixed the issue.

The "You cannot play on Realms because of how your microsoft account has set up"

means that u ran out of "Xbox Live Membership"

i had that too and was fixed after i bought new member ship.

and try to contact the xbox live support site to help u out with the account change settings. they helped me too with it and now im in full control over my account.
