    So, I am big on privacy. I have 20ish friends on xbl but only play with two or three regularly. Usually when we are playing we don't like to be disturbed, so we go offline.

    With the NXOE upgrade, if two people are in a party, and both offline, external sources can get in that party. My two best friends and I were in a party doing some Destiny stuff when a fourth person joined. He said we were all offline, and bothered us with
    questions on why we were being secretive and all that ***. After an awkward conversation he finally left. We all checked our offline status, checked to see if we had accidentally invited him, and couldn't figure it out.

    I went to dinner, came back, went to my friend's profile who said offline, went to invite him to a party, and there it was. "Join Party." I joined, told them what happened, and we were all pretty upset. We don't want people knowing that we're really online,
    that is the whole point of offline mode.

    This is why no one should really bothered much, almost all future games are always going to be online, no difference, that racing game from UBI, the Crew? ALways online, so is titanfall, destiny.

    I think people are pissed because they cant play the microsoft first party games offline but they might say you can just play first party games offline not third party they can do that

    WIth SO MANY ONLINE ONLY GAMES, you need to be ALWAYS online, because these always online games, are on the new xbox, then you need to be online.

    ------------------

    If your not getting these online games, then you can just continue to use your xbox if you want TRUE OFFLINE, PS4 wont also be true offline, only on first party games, but every third party game, will mostly be online.

    dark souls reviews are in and incredible

    People I hated the idea of party chat being removed so much that I wasn't going to pick up this game.. so glad I didn't for 1 thing you can still use private chat while playing online and you can use party chat, but it will force you to offline mode.
    it really is a great game..

    You cant have your offline saves on online and you cant have online saves on offline mode . this game have 2 modes off line mode and online mode if you want to play single player campaign online you need to start a new game . I would recommend finish
    the singale player campaign in offline mode . this game has a good off line features to it . you can try the offline local multiplayer mode set the game in bot mode its fun . do you have disc version of the game or the digital version of the game.
    if you have the disc version you can uninstall it offline and you dont have to update it with digital the version you cant uninstall it offline my xbox one s is on offline mode because slow internet.

    No more offline trolls/modders

    You can be online and have your account appear as being "offline". It's an option people can use. Sometimes I'll set my profile to appear as offline even though it's really online so people don't send me messages to play and send party invites.

    You need to be online to play online. There is no other way.

    too bad it is nearly impossible to play co-op in this game with the people you want to. also I do not believe you can private chat as a free member, Which is the only way you can talk with people on this game while maintaining online mode. if you party chat
    it turns the game automatically onto offline mode.

    soul level 87 here goodluck and if I find myself invading you I promise not to take it easy!!!

    There's no in game chat (design intended), being in party chat puts you in offline mode but you can still play. You can use private chat while playing online, allowing you to talk to one friend.
