    What kind of cheese is this? It says that I can change my Xbox Live GT once, for free. Yet when I confirm what I want to change it to, I get a prompt telling me that I have to pay? As far as I know, I've never changed my GT before

    gamer tag not chosen

    If you were the one that choose your gamertag from the time you created the account, that would be your free gamertag change. If not, the system would provide you with a generic gamertag, which would entitle you to a free gamertag change.

    This is for if you didnt initially choose your gamertag and it was autogenerated when your account was made. Which all accounts are. If you didnt change your gamertag initially youd have a gamertag to this affect: sillyfawn74747. Or something similar. Your
    gamertag right now is one that would have been chosen by you. So that being said you have already used your free name change and as such would have to pay the $10 to change it again.

    Yeah, once you've completed the level once, you can replay it in Free Play mode. This mode will allow you to change your characters throughout the level.

    Playing in Free Play is the only way you can unlock everything in the game, and Free Play is only unlocked after you've beaten the level once.
