Just and FYI. I searched all over and added a paypal account etc. but found that you CAN buy xbox live gold 12 month card with your points.

1. Sign in to your account

2. Go to the Store and select Xbox under categories (blue box on the left)

3. Select Xbox live

4. Select Xbox Live Gold Membership (Digital Code)

5. Choose your 1 or 3 or 12 month subscription

6. Checkout and use the microsoft points option

VOILA!!!

No you can't.

You have never been able to buy xbox live with your account money.

It has to be a credit/debit card,paypal account or a xbox live subscription card.

If you bought live then it would of been charged to your paypal account.

Don't put your credit card on the xbox. You can buy live cards and points cards at most stores and gas stations.

You can not buy Xbox live membership using Microsoft points. You would either have to use a credit card/Paypal or you could buy Pre-paid membership cards.

You cannot buy Gold LIVE time with points. The only way you can LIVE time is buy purchasing it on the console with a credit card or by purchasing prepaid LIVE time cards.
