You are unable to download/purchase because of "region" errors

Hi , sorry for my english . But I cann't buy a lot of content .

My region on XBOX LIVE account is :RUSSIA

I don't use any proxy server

And phisical my console is in RUSSIA .

For exemple I can not buy : Dark Soul , AC 2, AC bro , Hitman: Absolution , Dishonored , Metro 2033

I receive message : This content is not available for console in your region (Этот контент недоступен для консолей в вашем регионе.)

I dont understand why it's not available if some of this games support Russian language , and I now people (in RUSSIa) which download and play this game without any problem .

Xbox live Support says that it 's associated with conditions of copyright holder but I dont understand why this content is available to buy and have price on marketplace .



I think that the problem stems from the fact that in the billing or still somewhere there is a difference between Russia and the Russian Federation and the system defines it as two different region . But it's my theory only .

And one more information: my console was purchased in new condition in the United States. But I do not think that this is due to my problem because I can not buy games through the console or through a browser.

Somebody can explain to me what is the problem and how to solve it?

Well it is worth a try. Try and migrate your region to the Russian Federation. In order to do this please visit:
live.xbox.com/AccountMigration

Go ahead and switch it to the Russian Federation. You are correct if you bought it in Ameriica it should not make a difference to purchasing over the marketplace because of the set region.

Please note: if you have recently changed your region you will have to wait a few months before you can do this.

The issue is your 3rd condition that you didn't meet

Dark souls requires that you have an account in your region and a compatible console

In this case pal regional console

How I can change my region if now its оссия and on list of country I can find only оссия ( Its Russia in the Cyrillic alphabet). Maybe as I said problem is that any system MS consider Russia , оссия and Russian Federation how 2 or 3 different country
(region ) .

 

and another, I remembered but I think it is not important : I could not buy on the Market game Tomb Raider (2013) but found the boot code, the code has been successfully entered, the game has been downloaded but when you start the encounter the error about
the region (after talking with customer support I got the money back), after had to buy the disc in the United States

it is the only case when I succeeded to download unsuitable game

 

THATS WHY you only buy inregion codes

using out of region codes will only lead to problems due to region

out of region codes will work but again you are going to run into region errors because you bypassed the system, in a way its not intended

 

pal and ntsc coded games are only available in the regionms they work in

when you buy an out of region code it will work however when the system looks at the code it will say hmmm this guy has a US code but he has a Russian account so because the us content isn't available in Russian marketplace you will get the Russian content
or worse invalid code

and if you are running on a us console it will say no this is incompatible

you always buy from your actual region and don't import discs or codes or consoles it just leads to problems

 

this is due to the region locking inplace due to regulations and the tv signals in your region

 

You are wrong. If on card is no emblem of the region it can be considered freeregion code. Common sense says that if there any restrictions they must write on the card or when you enter the code.

Terms listed on the card I do not break.

My question is not about what is PAL and NTSC, but the fact that some content is not available for me even though it is available to my neighbor

 

Codes download the content based on your actual account region

This means your accountif it is Pal region you will receive pal content

Which will not work on a ntsc console

It's not rocket science

Ntsc content will not be available to pal regions because of compatibility

It's not hard to know what region you are in

Your tv has a ntsc or pal label

If you buy out of region codes you will run into issues

If you buy consoles you must match the signal with your account

It makes no sense to use a ntsc content in a pal region

You deal with these issues all the time

Why do you think games and movies all rlhave region specified on the game box

Games use region 1 _5

 

You cannot use a us console with Russian content without issues

This is clearly told to you when you buy games and movies

It is up to your government and local region to set rules which copyright holders have to follow

Triple a games are regulated internationally

You have no say what content or servers you can access
