I followed the Xbox One story when it was first hinted. Around the time that that asinine always online thing was making it's way around the internet. And another thing that was stupid, but was forced on "Day One" people and the months following. Which was
that no XBO will be without a Kinect packaged with it. Okay. I'll be able to use the nifty voice and body commands that were showcased time and time again. And I guessed since I couldn't get around not having to buy an XBO with Kinect, I bought the *** thing.
For $500.

And then months down the line you take away the Kinect and drop the price by $100. Oook. I guess that was a lie. I guess I can still use the thing I was lied to about having to buy as I was told I was going to be able to... Nope. Now I can't even use hand
gestures for using it. You pretty much forced an expensive *** brick onto my lap. Thanks a lot ya jerks.

Microsoft shouldn't be the blame of the scammers, the scammers themselves are the real problem, you shouldn't be mad at Microsoft because of it. Just watch your kids on what they do. Hope it all works out!

Because what you're receiving aren't from Microsoft and in fact aren't real at all, because they're a well known scam that almost everyone knows about by now, but a few people still apparently get fooled by.

There are literally millions of variations of these abusing the company names of many different firms, including Microsoft and even Apple, which you'd think the scammers would have instead used in the case of delivery to an Apple address, since it would
more likely have fooled you.

There's also other reasons for sending these that just Phishing as the FTC mentions, with tricking the target into allowing access to their device or extorting them for money directly being the most common.
