"You already own this" When trying to redeem a digital code

When I try to redeem through my 360 the code shows as invalid. Probably because I already redeemed it through the website.

However the xbox live site did say this when I finished redeeming it:

Success!

You now own Destiny Beta!

Normally when a console bundle is purchased it will come with its included digital content codes on inserts within the box. It seems like you may have redeemed a code for Xbox GamePass is that correct? I ask because Forza Horizon 4 would not come already
owned to the console it would have to be redeemed using a prepaid code onto an active Microsoft account. Forza Horizon 4 is part of the GamePass library so it would allow you to install it. That being said I recommend you return to the retailer and try to
exchange the console for another one due to the missing digital download codes.

Yes you can redeem codes for some DLC you already own. If you already have the Cerberus Network don't waste the code by trying to redeem it, sell it on eBay or give it to a friend who bought the game second hand.

If you already have a 25 digit code, you can try and redeem it via the console or via www.xbox.com, but like mentioned they might expire.
