Yet Another XB1 Preview Program Post

I've PM'd Mister Quimby at the behest of an MS support specialist.

I was also asked to post here.

I've had 3 friends invite me to the preview program. The invites were sent over the course of the last month and a half or so. 1 friend invited 2 of us the same day. The friend who was invited the same day as me got his message and was setup within 48 hours.
I've tried to be patient, but I'm worried there is something in the backend system preventing me from getting a chance at this.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Seriously? There's an Official post for preview program invitations, That post never really been off the first page and yet people still feel the need to make there own freaking posts asking for an invite

Hey there!

An invite does not mean you will get into the program.

It is merely a suggestion that someone wants you in the program.

Unfortunately, if after a couple weeks you don't receive any messages, then you haven't been accepted.

Also - in the future, please try not too PM staff directly, as they deal with threads in order, so that everyone gets the help they need. They refrain from offering support via PM.

I apologize for PM'ing Mister Quimby. The support specialist made it sound like he was an MS employee and that was the correct course of action.

I just assumed since 4 of my friends had gotten in with in 24 to 48 hours of being invited, that it would work similarly to me.

Should they keep inviting me? Should they do it with a certain frequency? At the same time or staggered? Thanks for the tips.

 

More invites won't change anything - if you're not accepted, that's that I'm afraid.

Mister Quimby is official staff, it's just, it is more streamlined for them to keep support requests in the public forums, rather than in PM's.

 

Wow, that's really disappointing and seems short sighted by MS. I do appreciate your candid reply. I know this won't help, but I feel like I need to at least say something since I'm hoping feedback is at least seen.

Microsoft, when you make these things as random as I understand they are you miss out on people like me. I know I'm not the be and end all, but I think I'd be valuable as a beta tester.
