Thanks for reaching out to us, It definitely can be frustrating not being able to play or chat the way you would have come to expect from the Xbox team, but system issues happen from time to time and problems do pop up as the Xbox family is looking to
grow across the world and add anyone who would like to experience the games and memories Xbox has provided so many people over the years.

As per the ToU you are not entitled to any type of compensation if live has issues.

All live services have problems from time to time,including PSN.

You can keep an eye on the service status HERE

If the game is slated for May, and the beta comes out in April, that means there will be no time to work on the game after the beta.

As I've stated before it isn't really a beta, it's just a preview.

I'm really worried about this game. No mention of it in OXM's most anticipated games for 2012 either.
