"Yes or No" voice command not working after latest patch.

It happened the first couple days after the update for me too. I didn't realize it was a "thing" but a full shutdown (unplugged) and it doesn't seem to be recurring. I also had the black screen issue. It's only happened once for me, and unplugging and re-plugging
the HDMI out fixed that. (Standby and full shutdown did not.) Knock on wood that it doesn't happen again. I'm sure MS will get these glitches worked out.

Voice commands - no response

I am finding that the voice command "xbox turn off" gives me the option boxes "yes" and "no" but after that no response Also the voice command to turn on is about 50/50 in regards to operating as it should

 

There's still not one single good reason to force Kinect on gamers

The latest update patch notes mention continued improvements to the Kinect's voice commands and motion controls - that means 2 things: (1) they're definitely working on it & (2) it WILL get better.

 

Add me to the list. "Xbox turn Off" which worked flawlessly from day one is now not reading the "Yes" prompt after telling it to turn off. Tried soft reset yesterday and it happened to me again today.

 

Just adding myself to the list with this. So far I've needed to do a complete power cycle every day to get voice functionality to work properly. But each time I turn it off (on instant on power settings) it breaks again.

 

OK, I had to perform a reset (whichever one it is when you hold the power button) to fix the stooopid black screen of death issue, and now the "xbox turn off" command works.

 

I'm trying to remember a time when I needed to unplug a video game console every few days to keep it working properly. .....drawing a blank.....

Yeah, I'm getting the same issue. I already soft reset the heck out of this console unplugging everything a few days ago, because the Titanfall Beta caused the "black screen of death" when I had a audacity to hit the home button to access my messages to
accept a party invite.

MS, next time you're making an "all in one" device, you can leave out "frustration". I think I have had more frustrating issues with the Xbox One than there are games to play. This system is more broken in Feb than it was in Nov-Jan. How do you do that,

I've also had this issue. Ever since the update the Xbox One does not recognize my "yes" after I tell it to turn off.

 

Looks like the full reboot ...Hold the Logo on console 10 secs to power down...then unplug...wait a good 15 secs ...plug back in and power back up worked. But wondering if that is temp fix or a legit fix. I would like to see MS officially address this
issue so we know its known and properly getting the attention it should.

 

So the hard reboot...power down and unplug for 5 min seems to very much be a temporary fix. problem cropped up again and again... This needs to be fixed sooner rather than later as its affecting a high number of people.

Was having the exact same issue after the patch, was shouting till blue yelling "yes" after the "xbox, turn off" command.

 

My issue is the same. The Xbox sensor reads all of my other commands, but when it comes to turning off my console it doesn't recognize yes or no commands. It pops up the screen to turn it off, but won't allow me to say "yes" or "no".

And all this happened after the previous update. Before it was working perfectly.

I just talked to customer support, they had me go to settings-power &startup and set the power mode to energy saving then turn off the Xbox one, wait a minute, turn it back on. Change the setting back to instant on and try 'Xbox turn off' again, this time
it recognized both yes and no...

You may want to try that...

All this resetting is getting very old, and I have had the console only a week.

 

Also having the same issue with recognizing yes/no. Was not an issue before the update.
