In order to receive credits, your purhcases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates.

As of July 1, 2014, there are no offers to receive credits for renewing gold. There are no offers to receive credits just for playing.

You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

In September 2015, we made some refinements to the program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds. If you did not reach any MyVIP ranks with your purchases from September 2014-August 31st 2015, you were placed at a default

This leads me to believe I need to purchase a standard non-auto-redeem 1 Month Game Pass Ultimate subscription (for 12,000 MS Rewards Points) AND THEN on April 1, and the months following, my 10,500 MS Rewards Points a month Auto Redeem will register.

Pretty much this. You've turned on auto-redemption for that award, so if you have that number of points, they'll automatically send you a code for that on the first of each month, so you would get a code on April 1. To get a code now, you'd need to manually redeem Ultimate.

Just checked my microsoft rewards and the gift cards option for both currency and my current goal of a 12 month card are still showing as available and have a redeem option on them, Im using Edge browser for the rewards aswell.

Hi, I looked on Microsoft rewards. I recommend going into the 12-month membership option by pressing "Redeem for 29,000 points. Once you get to that page, there is a tab that you can click that says "12 months." Click on that and there are the options
of 1 month and 3 months.
