Years gold update for XBox live beta members

I have been a continuous subscriber to gold since the inception of Xbox Live, including the beta. Currently my badge shows 13 years, who do I need to contact in order to get it updated? I have the same email and same gamertag since '01 with no interruption.

Side question, how many other members have been around since the start?

Today, Major Nelson posted on his blog that they are accepting applications into the 2013 Xbox LIVE Update for Xbox 360 Public Beta.

Included

Updates to overall performance

Ability to conduct transactions with local currency (Microsoft Points being retired later this year)

The sign up process is directly through your Xbox 360 console to streamline the experience. Space is limited, so once the spots are filled the beta will be closed to the public.

To join, look for the Xbox Beta Program tile on the home hub of the Xbox Dashboard.

You will be required to agree to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for confidentiality reasons. For more details on the beta, they have a Beta FAQ posted here.

Anyone on Xbox LIVE in any of the 41 Xbox LIVE Enabled markets will be able to participate in the public beta for Xbox 360. Please not that members in Japan will have an opportunity to join at a later date.

Update: The beta registration has been closed due to overwhelming demand for participation. If they re-open registration, it will be posted on majornelson.com or tweeted by @majornelson on twitter.

Although under a different tag and just for the forums.

My area then only had 56k and HS was something only business or the rich were capable of obtaining. So it wasn't until I aquired a 360 slim that I gamed online.

By then I couldn't remember my 56k providers email and password for the old xbox account, and thus simply created a new one.

Question: Why would you want to update your tenure?

My tenure is currently 2 years off, it should be 14 or 15 depending on if they go by anniversary month or just years.

Its a small thing, but a badge for beta testers would make me forget all other gripes

Though original Xbox released in 2001, Live only went "Live" on Nov. 15, 2002 and that is the date used to determine tenure. which is resolved down to the month and day of service start. Beta testing started earlier in spring 2002 in late March from everything

There wasn't any Xbox Live in 2001 so I doubt credit will be given for just owning an Xbox. I've been a member for almost 13 years, since there wasn't any broadband internet in my area until early 2003. When that became available I became a member of Live.

Hi,

Tenure doesn't go up at all when you're a silver member. Microsoft recently changed the way tenure was calculated, and it is now only counting the time that you have been a Xbox LIVE Gold member (paid).

If you were a gold member for 2 years out of 5 years then you would now have a 2 next to your name. Any sort of lapses in your membership where were only a gold member for 5 months out of a year or something of that sort then you'd need to complete the whole
year cycle before another year of tenure is added to your account.

No. Tenure is currently broken. I've been gold for 15 years, since Xbox Live beta and it is only reporting 12.
