YCC 4:2:2 problem on xbox

monitor shows HDR setting enabling, but once game starts the picture is very dark and colors look terrible. If I go into settings, and enable YCC 4:2:2, brightness comes back and picture looks nice. Problem is, next time launching the game the same thing happens. I then go back into settings, this time disable YCC 4:2:2, brightness and picture look fine again. Basically, every time I launch a game, I have to either tick or untick the YCC 4:2:2 setting. Makes no sense. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks!

I forgot to check the YCC 4:2:2 option in Video Modes.

If anyone has problems regarding HDR on the TV, try to activate the YCC !

I also use samsung qn90z tv and got the same result but on my lg tv its fine

Monitors are often not properly compliant and use shortcuts and overclocking to achieve performance numbers and features. . You should contact them about your issue.

If changing to 10 bit, I would also suggest to turn off YCC 4:2:2

This will usually fix the black screen flick.

YCC setting is in, Xbox display setting.

Ok here's how to put console into troubleshooting display mode.

Eject any disc from the console
On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds
Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. Don’t let go until the second beep occurs.
Note that this action boots your console in low-resolution mode. Go to Settings to reset this setting.

This will allow you to reset your display options. Hope it helps
