Yay! Fortnite is dying!

I have long awaited the day I could officially say Fortnite is dying. Now by no means am I saying within a week this game will be gone, I am just stating the obvious. Now before you get mad, I'll give you some evidence.

1. Xbox Friends List: Now I have been surveying my Xbox Friends list for quite some time, seeing whats the most popular game among them. It was safe to say Fortnite has dominated my friends list for months now, it still is one the most played games on my
friends list. I have recently noticed that games like Rainbow Six Siege, Minecraft, Roblox, Destiny 2, etc. They have all made a return. Siege is the undisputed champion of my friends list now.

2. Numbers: Fortnite has been on the growing side of things, recently (since the beginning of season 5) its been on a fast steep decline.

3. The Nail in the Coffin: No pun intended, but with releases like COD: BO4 and other new November releases such as DL2, Fallout 76, and Spider-Man. Fortnite will for sure be killed off.

How are you liking Advanced Warfare?

I just played my 1st match with the new update and it was fantastic! I went 10-0 before dying for the 1st time ever in CoD:AW! It is possible with goot networking! YAY!

 

Xbox E3 Lineup Leaked? Halo 5 ? Fable 4 ?

Fake, remember that Microsoft said that their would be 8 new IP's to be revealed for the Xbox One, I can only count five, Quantum Break, Ryse, Fortnite Dying Light & League of Legends.

 

He just mean that's a lot of people in his friend list have move back from Fornite to R6 etc...

And with the release of BO4 and RDR2 the number of people who just stop fornite will increase.

But I am not as sure as he his. Because the season 5, was poor on good skin with the season pass. So there was a drop of user, but it could be temporary (if s6 is good they could come back)

And has it is mostly a 4 man games, during hollidays, some group of user just stop for the period.

 

Never really got into Fortnite myself and while it was not a game for me I could definitely see the mass appeal in it. So to each their own!

 

Just like everything in this industry there is ebb and flow. As soon as Fortnite hits a major update it will explode again.

 

I understand the draw to the game, but I never liked it. There are soo many other games, I perfer to play..

 

I wouldn't say killed off but rather stagnate to a more baseline level with other popular games.

Just because your xbox friends list arnt playing it means its dying. It has amassive following on PS4 due to it being free

 

Why would you think that? If you do not enjoy Fortnite, my advice, just do not play it anymore. That is what I do if there is a game that I feel is dying.

 

People need to learn when and if to report a thread/post.

I don’t see it dying anytime soon. My son and all his friends still play it. If you didn’t need Live to play it in Xbox it’d be even more popular.

Also, I have noticed lots of people on my friends list playing RB6 Siege lately.

 

It may just be what you're friends are currently into. You will see a large drop in players right now because school started last week & this week for a lot of young kids, teenagers, and college students. I doubt it's going anywhere soon.

 

I've never been a huge fan of the Battle Royale aspect of 'Fortnite'. Though, I did enjoy the PvE on which Fortnite was created.

Every game goes threw these trials. I'm sure that it'll continue to do well for a while. Hopefully at least.

 

I never got into the BR of fortnite. Although I did buy fortnite when it 1st came out before BR to play save the world and it isn't so bad but I only play save the world once a week with my kids

 

Not sure what to say to this, except all games face the same fate.
