Yamaha receiver IR Codes

So I pulled out the old Yamaha DSPA3090 out to use with my Xbox One (15
year old receiver). Unfortunately the kinect will only work the volume and
mute codes...it just doesn't work the power on/off code. Do any other manufactures use the same IR codes as Yamaha? I am hoping I can go in and tell it to use "X" brand for codes and maybe that'll work.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance

A/V Receiver controlled through Xbox One

I had a Yamaha receiver do the same thing to me and if I recall (I have a Onkyo now) I just tried one of the other Yamaha codes until it worked. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Audio Receiver code for Yamaha YSP3300

I've managed to get this to work with code 1797. Weird thing is that I need to point the remote towards the floor for it to work. Pointing it to the soundbar or any other direction does not respond at all. Well, at least it's working.

Hi Blip. There is no code that will make the power on or off feature work with many older units such as Denon or Blaupunkt etc. I've researched this in the past and old receivers use what is called a birt "basic infrared receiver toggle." Essentially it's
not a code so much as it is a chip in the factory issued remote. If anything ever comes up I'll post on the forums for you. Sorry I can't help you more.

I am an owner of a A/V Custom company. IR receiver is just a hair off of the eject button to the right. It works, but they are new codes. Not the 360 code or original xbox codes. The old codes are toggle codes and won't work. I found that I was over
flashing the receiver. Turn down the IR power if you can, that helped me. It is also a ridiculously small spot and no room for error.
