Yakuza 0 Gamepass Saves

SO i bought Yakuza 0 on steam after playing it on game pass to support the developers more, and want to start playing over on steam, but I don't want to start all over again, is there some way to transfer the saves over so that don't have to?

I did a bunch of snooping and I cannot find the save files anywhere, only a Backup9999.sav file that steam cant use even after renaming it after the first save. the game detects it, but doesn't know what to do with it.

After looking at the read write actions of the game, it shows a temp file being used that also has the .sav file type.

Is there some way to request the save from Microsoft? or do I need to intercept the file somehow? or is it stored locally in some obscure place?

The only thing I found there was the Backup9999.sav file that i mentioned in the OP. Which doesnt work as a save for steam.

To sate my own curiosity i tried to boot up yakuza 0 without an internet connection and I could not do so. Probably a gamepass thing.

As for my knowledge at this point, microsoft somehow encrypts saves files in Windows Store games. I found some information how to transfer this files for another games but for Yakuza 0 it did not work. Also transfering data files in not possible.

Please try to follow the steps described in
this post :

"Since this pops up as the first result on google, here's where the Windows Store/Xbox Game Pass save files are stored: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Packages\HumbleBundle.SlayTheSpire_q2mcdwmzx4qja\LocalCache\Local\Microsoft\WritablePackageRoot\preferences

Or just type in %appdata% in the windows explorer, hit enter, go up a folder or delete "roaming" from the path, then add \Local\Packages\HumbleBundle.SlayTheSpire_q2mcdwmzx4qja\LocalCache\Local\Microsoft\WritablePackageRoot\preferences
to the path in explorer."

i'd like that, sega has a lor of incredible sagas, they could even bring the entire yakuza series on xbox one, or even to game pass as they did with yakuza 0

There are more Yakuza games coming to GamePass in 2020 :-D it was announced at XO19 that we will have Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 as well

Hi,

Yakuza 0 is not cross compatible with save files across Xbox and PC. This is why you have to start the game from the beginning on Game Pass PC.
